UsernameMDM Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Yay, printed legs for the king! Also, do my eyes spy a new torso for him under the armor? Thanks for the pics! If it's a nice torso, it may be a good reason to get multiples of this set. And people were complaining about the king in this set. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Has there someone (been to the US Toy Fair and) found out some news or hints about what the (supposable) Castle jubilee set will be and accordingly what it'll include? As for the argument that there has to be a troll warrior or skeletton knight in this set if this set would be a tournament I'd say no since 1. we now have the golden knight and so this golden knight might fight against the silvern knight or 2. since TLG are releasing that many new molds and torsos this year (I do not only speak about Castle but about all themes this year in general - only look at SW and Space Police) there is imo no reason why they should no release a different knight, too. Asuka Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Wow... tattooed trolls... looks great! Now I wonder if we may see some troll Harley-Davidson set in the future... Trolls Angels on! Quote
Sir Dano Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 What's the thought on the new giant troll feet? 3 wide or 4 wide? I'm really glad they remade them. I love the newer colors on them. The legs look the same to me... Quote
Capt. Bluebeard Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 (edited) The legs look the same to me... Same here. I doubt TLC would've changed the Troll mould anywayz... Bluebeard, out- Edited February 20, 2009 by Capt. Bluebeard Quote
Dadster Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Ermmm - I don't like the print/ tattoo on the troll arm. That won't stop me from buying one though! Quote
supertoad64 Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 (edited) i like the new printing and coloring on the trolls. i think it may be a response from lego to the complaints that the trolls were too megablocky. though i like that copper crown on the orc king's head, i still would've liked a new mold (like the villain from the indiana jones sets) as someone had previously mentioned Edited February 18, 2009 by supertoad64 Quote
SiRoa Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 they sell GOOD Minifigs not GOOD buildings in 2009 except 10193... Quote

The troll palace/castle/junk yard/cardboard jungle thingy is a freakin must have for me. ONE EYED KING PIMP DUDE!!! TATOOED OGRES!!! Quote

Sir Dillon Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I've deleted the excess smilies in the last two posts. You don't need strings of 30 smilies to get your point across, so please try not to abuse them. Quote
SWMAN Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I am not a huge fan of the the new printed trolls. I liked them a lot better when they were plain. I don't think I will be picking up any of the new sets. Quote

You don't have to post the same damn thing a dozen times in one topic to get your point across. I'm all for variety, so the printed trolls (not actually tattooed, since the markings are on their armor) are welcome to my household. Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 No, they have tatoos on both arms! So we can change one arm with old Ogre and we will get 4 tatooed Ogres! Yay! Quote

I simply do not like them enough to spend my money on them. Quote
posades Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 The troll fortress is too expensive for my tastes, so I'll probably wait for it to go on sale like King's Castle Siege was this year. The only ones I'll most likely get are the Drawbridge and possibly the Chariot. Was there ever any mention of the drawbridge being able to connect to the castle? At first I thought it might fit by switching out the current drawbridge with it, but the BURP's on each side might make it too wide... Quote
metalandi Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Why does everybody want to attach the bridge to the castle? I don't know, but for me this is that kinda building that usually is somewhere outside a castle at a river, to defense the outer lines of the kingdoms. I don't see any sense in attaching it to the castle, since it already has a drawbridge... Quote

As I said, they may have designed it with the same width as the current drawbridge in KCS so that it could be easily interchanged; although by looking at the pictures, the stand alone drawbridge looks a little wider, so who knows. KimT Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Maybe I am dullminded when reading this topic. But could someone please restate the expected prices of the 3 upcoming sets? Thanks Oh and if the prints/tatoos annoy you, then there's always BRASSO Quote

Capt. Bluebeard Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I think the prices for the UK are:King's Royal Chariot: 12.69 Drawbridge Defense: 29.35 Troll Mountain Fortress: 68.49 There's no way that can be right! If it is, then the Troll Fortress is waaaay over-priced, no matter awesome it is. *sigh* It seems I'm gonna have to postpone my army-building plans... Bluebeard, out- Quote
metalandi Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I guess these will be right, the troll boat also was something like 70-80 bucks, and i think it has even less pieces than the fortress. Quote

MicroM Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 I've been having a good look at that Troll Mountain Fortress, it is really impressive. I love the video highlights from TF. I only just bought a few of the Castle kits at Christmas last year, as I mainly collect SW LEGO, but I really like the Castle range. The drawbridge also looks really good. Damn LEGO bringing out so many good kits in one year, there's no way I can justify buying all these kits this year. Quote
