KevFett2011 Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Lando: "Lord Vader, we only use this facility for carbon freezing. If you put him in there it might kill him." Darth Vader:" I do not want the Emperor’s prize damaged. We will test it on Captain Solo." Hi guys, finally I can present you the second part of my Cloud City MOC.It is one of the famous Scene on Cloud City: Han Solo get frozen in carbonite, because Vader want to test the facility. The bulding technic from the round plattform is from markus 1984,here a link to his MOC: https://www.flickr.c...157634782465354 Enough words, here is my MOC: For more pictures follow the link: https://www.flickr.c...157655753319244 Here a reference picture: KevFett2011 Quote
rollermonkey Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 You need a little smoke filter on your pictures... Then they'll be perfect! Quote
sigpro Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Wow. Original picture from the movie... Greatly impressed!!! You did an excellent job but some smoke filter would make it more than excellent! Congratulations! Quote
Mr Man Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Impressively done , You got the right atmosphere and lighting down to a tee. Quote
Legocity2713 Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 It is almost too accurate! All kidding aside though, awesome job man, it really is impressive. Quote
Lobot Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Another great build, KevFett2011! The lighting is excellent and you've captured the atmosphere of the scene perfectly Are the top plates that create the top of the central platform attached to anything, or do they just 'float'? I'd be very interested to see how you (and markus1984) built it if you have any WIP photos. Quote
DarkKnight7 Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Very cool! Will be even better once we get those Ughnaughts this January (at least if we believe the rumors). Quote
FrenchLegoBoy Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 This accuracy to the original scene is astonishing, congrats :) Quote
Kristof Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Fantastic work with lights! The base though seems tricky to build, especially maintaining even gaps between plates. Quote
Jedi-Bendu Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Wow. Original picture from the movie... That is not a picture from the movie....it's a picture of a diorama with Hasbro toy action figures. ;) Quote
Graham Gidman Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Me: "I love it." You: "I know." Quote
James Wellington Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 I really like this. Great work! An iconic scene for sure. Quote
deraven Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Such a fantastic rendition! All of the detail is great, but I must say that plate technique (for the floor grating) fits this use perfectly! The lighting you've included bring the whole thing together and really sells it. Great build! Quote
Steph 104th Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 I really love this, the floor is very well constructed too. Quote
KevFett2011 Posted September 11, 2015 Author Posted September 11, 2015 Thank you for the feedback @Lobot the plattform "float",it isn't attached, but I will show some pictures here next week or if i have time Greetings KevFett2011 Quote
drachenloch Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 This is a great MOC! What are you using for the center of the platform? Are those Slope 75? Inverted or normal? Quote
Ellisss_ Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 This is perfection! I would love to see construction pictures, as the design looks rather complicated. Quote
brainless Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Great MOC! It's awesome but the pictures could be better. Quote
Kalais Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Clever floor. You captured atmosphere pretty nice. I like it :) Quote
Ber Teh Unicern Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Excuse me, George Lucas called. He asked for his model back. Great work! As in the words of Darth Vader:"Impressive. Most impressive". Quote
