I do agree with that but there's nothing in either that stand out for potential LEGO sets. Genesis of the Daleks is a classic but what could be done except for a LEGO Davros? And Pyramid of Mars: does anyone really want to build Sutekh's throne?

That's pretty much the only thing I think you really can do with "Genesis of the Daleks". Suffice to say, there's certainly ways to "spice up the set" though, I'm sure...

I think the Mummies would work better as minifigures as opposed to builds. If we're going to go for a Tom Baker serial that's not a Key To Time, considered a classic and features something that could be translated into a set then the obvious choice would be Terror of the Zygons in my opinion. The Skarasen could make a brilliant LEGO set. The Loch Ness Monster is already a popular myth and add the Doctor Who licensing on and it would soon sell.

That 'Terror of the Zygons' one sounds pretty awesome. I wish they would've included one in the IDEAS set. They have to at least do a '50th Anniversary' set. I want my beloved 8th Doctor....

Mine would be "Journey's End", as then we could get a single set with two versions of Ten, Rose, Jackie, Mickey, Jack, Sarah Jane, Martha, and Donna. That's a lot of Who awesomeness for one scene.

As amazing as it would be, I doubt we'd get Jackie Tyler because I can't see many casual viewers and/or kids would want to play with a minifigure of Rose's mother. If it we were to get a Journey's End set, I would imagine it being either a Dalek or Davros instead of Jackie.

Man, where do I start?

A set that I want would be based on The Pandorica Opens, evn though we're already getting 11. It'll have the Pandorica's chamber with staircase to the surface, the Pandorica (duh) that can open with the chamber inside it to trap a minifgure, maybe a Dalek saucer. Mini figures would be 11, Amy, Rory The Roman, River, a Dalek, a Cyberman and a Sontaran. And if that's too many figures, exclude the Cyberman and the Sontaran. It'd be like $70 or something.

Seriously though, I just want a set based on any Doctor. I need a 10. And 9. And War, and 8, and 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1.

If Doctor Who gets any sets beyond the Ideas one and K9: Timequake is a success, I wonder if we'll ever get any sets based on the movie?

Personally, if the film is of good quality I'd love to be able to have a set comprising K9 and Omega.

Actually, that's debatable considering it's not being made in conjunction with the BBC therefore not an official BBC production.

But does it really matter? Its much easier having one thread for discussion rather than having two or three different threads to discuss one theme.

In any case, I would like to see sets based of this. The question is of course l, will Lego make a DW theme, if so then I think they'd want to start out designing products from the TV show and then maybe branch out to spin offs, Comics, audios etc.

just to warn you all.... the BBC's view of Doctor Who merchandise is very much "NuWho" because that's where the money is, the children who watch the current series.

the BBC would be very hard pressed to agree to release "older" Doctor Who sets on the grounds that those series cannot be viewed on BBC now, they're all being shown on Horror these days

with that in mind, I seriously doubt that unless a major marketing strategy is released by Lego for a theme including heritage/anniversary sets featuring the older Doctors, I cannot see that happening I'm afraid at best, Lego are not going to release up to 5 "old" sets (including 2 Doctors each) and a further collection of sets including the current series characters, it would make the theme probably their second-largest licenced IP collection after Star Wars.

I don't see why they wouldn't personally. Everybody loves a bit of nostalgia currently and as I said, they'd only have to slap the Doctor Who brand on it for people to buy it. Also: BBC Worldwide have released classic series DVDs before and the current Complete History books also cover the classic series so clearly the BBC have no problem with classic series merchandise.

I do know that all the Doctor's incarnations have been represented in action figures in recent years, so I can't help but think LEGO versions are at least options, though of course there's no guarantee they'll happen.

Character Building released minifigures of all the Doctors at the time (11). I expect if LEGO turn Doctor Who into a full range, we'll at the very least get a 13 Doctors Collector's Set featuring every Doctor in minifigure form in TARDIS packaging akin to what CB did with their minifigures.

Here's my wishlist. I want to see a set for each Doctor:

• First Doctor - Totter's Lane, with First Doctor, Susan, Ian, and Barbara and the Tardis. Or, "The Aztecs", with the four of them as well inside the pyramid as a small playset (with one way trap door).
  
• Second Doctor - "Tomb of the Cybermen" with Second Doctor, Jamie, Victoria, and Cyber-Controller and Controller chair?
  
• Third Doctor - Unit HQ with Third Doctor, Brigadier, Jo, and Delgado Master. Basically, the Doctor's lab, with non-functional Tardis in the corner.
  
• Fourth Doctor - "Genesis of the Daleks" with Fourth Doctor, Sarah and Ian, and Davros with Davros chair.
  
• Fifth Doctor - "Earthshock" with Fifth Doctor, Adric, Nyssa, Tegan, and Cyberman. The bridge of the starship can be the setting for the playset.
  
• Sixth Doctor - Sixth Doctor and Peri, but I have no idea what a good story or monster or setting would be.
  
• Seventh Doctor - I hate to go back to the Daleks, but "Remembrance of the Daleks" is a great story. Plus, it takes place at Cole Hill School and has the Seventh Doctor and Ace. And Ace has her baseball bat.
  
• Eighth Doctor - You could do the Eighth Doctor and Charlie on the R101, or Eighth Doctor, Charlie, and C'rizz. Or, you could do the Eighth Doctor, Ohila (High Priestess of the Sisterhood of Karn), and young War Doctor on Karn.
  
• War Doctor - Some sort of 50th Anniversary set, with "the Moment," War Doctor, Zygon, and Queen Elizabeth.
  
• Ninth Doctor - "Bad Wolf" / "Parting of the Ways" with Ninth Doctor, Rose, and Captain Jack. Aboard the space station?
  
• Tenth Doctor - "Silence in the Library" with Tenth Doctor, astronauts, Vasta Narada, and River Song. In a library.
  
• Eleventh Doctor - "Dinosaurs on a Spaceship" with Eleventh Doctor, Amy, Rory, and a dinosaur. On a spaceship!

I think you'd kind of need 10 and 11 too. Wouldn't make sense to do a set based on a multi-Doctor adventure without every Doctor in the story in it.
