The_Fiery_Rooster Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Inspired by the new Star wars figures, I took a shot at making DC figures in the same style. From Left to right: Joker, Robin, Batman, Superman, and Lex Luthor. Although none of them are final, the one who will receive the most change is Batman, as I want to give him a grapple gun. Please, give me feedback on how to do better, or compliment me. The eight long shell, the 2-part chest plate, and the armor add-on pieces represent the new star wars pieces, The heads are just there to give them a head, since they would require new pieces. (and in Batman and the Joker's case, pieces that aren't in LDD at this point) Brickshelf folder when active (contains individual pics of each, along with Lex Luthor's build): http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=558843 LXF file : Super Heroes.lxf Quote
The_Fiery_Rooster Posted September 7, 2015 Author Posted September 7, 2015 (edited) Forgot to elaborate on the MOCs. These are made with the idea of them being sets in mind. Batman, Superman, and Robin would have capes like the new Star wars ones. Batman and Robin each have two batarangs, and batman has a smoke bomb. Robin has a pair of handcuffs because, at least in Lego sets, he is always captured. Superman wields a piece of debris, just so that it isn't only the figure. The Joker has the iconic laughing gas bombs and his pow gun. Lex Luthor has a large chunk of kryptonite to power his battle armor. Next time I'll make sure to include everything in the first place. GK733 Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 I recolored Obi as Batman when thinking about DC ultrabuilds: http://gk733-bonkles.tumblr.com/post/116755651271/i-tried-reblog-and-insert-something-on-his-hand Can't see the SW ultrabuilds going forever and the Force Awaken ones might be their last for some time. Marvel has already laid out it's big guns and Batman V Superman constraction seems like an idea worth trying. Quote
MAB Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 They were official sets in 2012. Heads and other specific parts already exist ... Quote
The_Fiery_Rooster Posted September 7, 2015 Author Posted September 7, 2015 That's why I said The heads are just there to give them a head, since they would require new pieces. (and in Batman and the Joker's case, pieces that aren't in LDD at this point) Also most of the characters i made weren't made in 2012, so there was no part to use. Quote
julesvincent Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 I need help for the Batman: In order to have a Batman from "The Dark Knight" to fit the Batpod (5004590) I wanted to make the mask of the 4526 black. Does anyone know how to take the head apart, since there are surely two parts (mask in blue, soft rubber; head in light flesh, ABS) and it would be easier to recolor the mask if they were apart. I unscrewed the ball joint but don't want to break anything off. Thanks in advance! Quote
