legotechnicus Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 [/img] Is this allowed? It's main function is lifting in difficult terrain. Cheers Quote

chubays Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 (edited) Hello, Milan! About 5-6 months ago I checked Sariels "Future Projects" and saw "LIEBHERR LTM 1250". I've just made some LDDs and concept of wellbase to check sturning radius. And when I saw this Contest, I've redesigne some parts and want to complete this crane but not as LTM 1250, I want to make "Chubays MOD of LIEBHERR LTM 1250". May I took part? Milan Posted October 7, 2015 Author Posted October 7, 2015 What is with projects which had started long befor but never finished Like my K100 recovery truck? Same as for all entries, if it was not shown before, it is ok to participate. Quote
efferman Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 ok, then it is not legal because i have posted long ago some pictures of the back. Quote
Kiwi_Builder Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 The other problem with the K100 is that it's main function is recovery/towing rather than lifting/hoisting so it's not allowed anyway. Quote
efferman Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 oh, it would have a crane and i think on a rotator the crane is a main function. and this was everything which was to see 100_0826 by Michael Wirth, auf Flickr Quote
Milan Posted October 7, 2015 Author Posted October 7, 2015 oh, it would have a crane and i think on a rotator the crane is a main function. and this was everything which was to see Rotator is a recovery vehicle, a beefed-up tow truck. its main function is to recover and tow vehicles. It contains a crane. Its crane is a tool which can pull, lift or turn back on the wheels crashed vehicles, but at the end, it is a tow truck used to tow vehicles. A truck with crane without tow equipment would be great! Quote
doug72 Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Is it permissible to use stickers from other Lego sets ? eg. UW Lifting service from the 42009 set. Quote
Zerobricks Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Is it permissible to use stickers from other Lego sets ? eg. UW Lifting service from the 42009 set. I am pretty sure you can use ANY stickers... Quote
Milan Posted October 12, 2015 Author Posted October 12, 2015 Since we used them before in the contests, yes, it is ok. Quote
doug72 Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Great - can now finish the details on my crane & make the entry video. Quote
Samer Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Hi can I get in this or its too late? I'm noob here and liked to participate to enrich my building and the contest. I thought some sort of ancient crane is interesting. Quote
Milan Posted October 13, 2015 Author Posted October 13, 2015 Hi Samer, no it is not too late. Deadline for posting your entry model is November 1th, 2015. Just follow the rules in the first post of this topic and you will be fine :) Quote
Samer Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Yes I read the instructions, I understood that Nov 1 is deadline for finalizing the model and all required content so I wondered of earlier deadlines, such as when to create the [TC8] topic ...etc If any specifics or if I'm misunderstanding something please clarify. Thanks for letting me in Quote
Jim Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Hey guys. What's up with the contest? I don't see a lot of WIP topics? Is the contest too restricted? Or haven't you made enough progress to show something? My progress keeps being taken apart by the perfectionist in me. I need to step it up a bit and at least finish the chassis to consider a WIP topic. Maybe making a WIP topic would maybe help to push me forward Welcome back! Edited October 13, 2015 by Ludo Visser Quote
BusterHaus Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Hey guys. What's up with the contest? I don't see a lot of WIP topics? Is the contest too restricted? Or haven't you made enough progress to show something? Hi Jim, welcome back. I stopped working on the contest due to unfortunate time constraints. I started work on two different cranes but neither will be entered. As for constraints, it's almost as if the contest doesn't have enough. The lack of limits on part count, function requirements or aesthetics makes it slightly more difficult to pick a direction. It's still a good contest, and I'm excited to see the entries, but I'll be sitting on the sidelines for this one. Quote
