BrickOn Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 (edited) So here is a brief introduction to my PtV entry... Basically the scene is as follows some poor, lowly pirate has been caught and hanged by the Bluecoats. In revenge his shipmates are ransacking the harbour, burning and killing all in their path and making off the Governor's daughter, for some despicable end. It's blood 'n' carnage! BrickOnPillageTheVillage on Flickr BrickOnPillageCloseUp on Flickr BurningChef on Flickr And incase you missed him... there's on pirate still in the cells awaiting rescue or hanging? CaptiveCloseUp on Flickr Hope it's suitably evil, I can always try add some more evil acts if not :-) NB: I have edited it to add some better photos taken in actual daylight, I'll leave the old ones on Flickr and also my amazing, Ikea-based photography set-up for taking the photos in the dark... Kolonialbeamter Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Haha, lovely... Sufficient amount of blood? Check! Screaming minifigs? Check! Hanging pirate? Check! Burning chef? Check! ... wait, what? Burning chef?? Love the burning chef! And the classic white and yellow. Great scene and worthy PtV entry! And as a toping, the rat is all unimpressed like "Meh, gettin' real tired of your sh*t, guys." Brick on, BrickOn! Quote
Staslegomaster Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Such a crual scene indeed. Poor governor and his wife - they can't defend their pretty daughter... Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Yes, this is terror and violence! Did any furniture get damaged during the scene? Brick on! Quote
BrickOn Posted September 9, 2015 Author Posted September 9, 2015 Burning chef? Check! ... wait, what? Burning chef?? Love the burning chef! My favourite bit too... Such a crual scene indeed. Poor governor and his wife - they can't defend their pretty daughter... True... everybody's utterly defenceless! Yes, this is terror and violence! Did any furniture get damaged during the scene? Not in this this scene, I'll leave that to the experts! :-) Quote
Staslegomaster Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Did I guess right - is that the governor's wife on the 2nd floor near the window? Her heart is broken. Quote
BrickOn Posted September 11, 2015 Author Posted September 11, 2015 Did I guess right - is that the governor's wife on the 2nd floor near the window? Her heart is broken. It was not my intention. If I were to show a back view you would see she was only wearing her underwear, I just swapped the heads and that's how the other minifigure happened to be dressed... I think the governor's wife would be more formally attired, even during a raid... but you never know. Quote
Captain Dee Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 This is what a small PtV entry should look like: a neat, clean, action-packed design that needs no explanation. The violent depictions and bloodshed meet the contest requirements fully and the overall concept is historically correct in every way - including burning victims alive. This being the Pirates forum, we might all be somewhat desensitized to the violence but it still makes me uncomfortable, and that's a must for an entry to have any chance of winning. BrickOn!! Quote

Wow thanks! I must admit in my usual pirate scenes there is a lot less death and destruction; I mean everyone is pointing a gun or a sword at someone else, but no-one's ever pulled the trigger or stuck it in.
