eurotrash Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 MOC: 24-Carat Urban Vertical Farm I managed to snag a bunch of freebie 2x2 Gold round tiles, a bunch of orange windscreens and orange 4x4 wedges. So it was obvious (to me, at least) what I was going to build - an upscale Urban Vertical Farm for my Chinatown 2035 series of Modulars. So here it is. Here's a view from the rear The roof detail. I imagined that the owners had access to a 3-d Printer and just produced a huge amount of these awesome shapes. And finally because it was set in the near future I had to include the owner watering the plants with Brawndo - it's got electrolytes. It's what plants crave. Hope you like it. As usual comments, criticism and ridicule most welcome! Quote
Hobbythom Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Exellent build. It is odd, it is quirky, yet it just works. Very nice! Quote
Kristel Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Nice! I must admit, I'm not convinced by the roof, but there are some great details to make up for that including the giant carrot and the vertical greenhouse. Quote
eurotrash Posted September 8, 2015 Author Posted September 8, 2015 ...I must admit, I'm not convinced by the roof... I had the same concerns, but as I built it I realized something new to me - it feels fantastic! It's got a tactile thing going on that you don't normally get from typical Lego roofs. And because I got 30 of these Orange wedges for free I knew I was going to use them. I know it's divisive, but it's definitely growing on me. Thanks for the comments! Quote
Nemo57 Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 I wonder what kind of growing plants together with the roof "orange" mood? Hopefully, carrots firmly attached? Stylish work. Quote
peedeejay Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 This is a cool build. Something different from what we see usually. :) Quote
sens1992 Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 Very good idea! Very creative! It would make for a nice "green" lego set. Good job! Quote
snaillad Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 What a unique and interesting idea. I like the carrot and the use of those windscreens on the doorway gives a pretty cool texture, not sure I've seen that before. Well done! Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 I always like your fantastic work eurotrash! The architecture and the plants details are awesome! I hope to see (soon) another of your MOC! Quote
