And to start me off I will post my first LDD-design.

Back in 2010 It was my first attempt designing an accurate ship using LDD.

It was supposed to look like the British Snow "HMS Ontario"

Just moving your splendid ships to the proper MOC forum pirate_satisfied.gif

He he

Hope so. I'm still trying to find my way around town. Still consider myself this wrinkled weirdo with the strange geeky approach to ship-mocs pirate_classic.gif

I like it :)

Thanks man. She was a start. Still gets a bit misty looking at herpirate_blush.gif

This vessel is definitely snow-rigged. I learned way more about different rigged vessel in the recent reorganization of the Ship Index.

If you ever decide to build this vessel out of real bricks, I would recommend using the piece imaged below to provide stability between the snow mast and main mast. :pir-wink:

It is an early attempt. If I ever try to build the HMS Ontario it will be a complete redesign. I have learned so much the last couple of years, and especially my early design of masts have proven to be lacking.

I would rather use this

or a combination of this

and this

, but the brick you suggest actually worked just fine on my "HDMS Lougen" model

So thanks

I like your detailed keel most of all - they're usually unseen in LEGO ships. The more we learn, the more we know.

Thanks man.

This is gorgeous!

Fantastic LDD model here!

I really like it. Especially the name, as Ontario is the name of a Canadian province, and I'm Canadian pirate_laugh_new.gif I particularly liked what you did with the bow. Looks really nice.

Here is some additional pictures as well
