This is my first real post on here (even though the account is several years old), some of you may know me as Nuke4Hire on reddit. If so then you've probably seen this revamp before. I got Onua the otherday, I liked the original set but knew I had to upgrade it,so I put together one of my custom torsos that I use for humanoid mocs and modded it heavily so it would hold Onuas chestplate and shoulderpads. This is a nice start to my series of Toa Okoto revamps which wil be built over the course of a month or two (I'm getting the sets slowly).

Seeing as I can't include more than one photo because I'd rather not have to resize so many pictures I'll just include the imgur and reddit links

Suggestions and criticism are always welcomed, as well as any questions about the moc. I hope you all enjoyed!

I'm really liking this, the original set wasn't appealing to me, but this revamp is excellent, Onua looks complete now and I'm glad you got rid of the gold pieces, those were really out of place, silver-purple-gold it was a mess, also silver doesn't go well with gold IMO. Great job! :classic::thumbup:

Thanks man! I didn't mind the gold but when I built this revamp the gold threw all the colour apart, it didn't look natural but instead forced so I had to take it out. The main idea for this moc was to make Onua more compact and taller than the other Toa but not look a like a dumb brute.

I saw both submissions to the sub, but I haven't commented on it yet. I love your MOC! You modified the proportions really well and made the limbs a great mix of longer and bulkier in a way that feels natural. I am sure I have seen those shins (made from the Mata feet) before, but they still stand out as a pretty darn great parts usage. I also like the use of smaller details, like the barbed wire on the chest and the light to the side of his head.

On the Gold on Onua, I initially took it out for the same reasons. However, I added it back in recently and I have to say that it does add something. I can't place it, but he looks good with gold armor. Perhaps it looks like an exoskeleton of sorts on his limbs, or maybe metallic mechanisms or other kinds. It would help if he had more gold on the stock set, though, such as on the shoulderpads or back.

The feet look very nice. I'm also glad you took the gold off, never liked that neither. The bulkier hands fit a lot better than the wee basic fists. The upper legs are neat too, I use similar designs rather often.

I'd probably beef the middle torso a bit, especially under the armpits and behind the lower part of the chest plate.. The problem is not huge (compared to the set) but that would emphasis the iconic bulkiness of Onua.

Sorry I couldn't reply sooner, I've been extremely busy with school going back in.

@TheDesyComplex- Thanks! I may try to one day include some gold pieces to better match the original set, I like your idea of it being an exoskeleton

@Pate-Keetongu- I 100% agree with what you said about beefing up the torso, in fact I'm currently reworking it.
