pcsguy88 Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 I picked one up from Target last night and built it. Initially there was a half stud gap on the left side (pilot's view), but adjusting the two clip blocks to make sure they were even immediately fixed it. Makes me wonder if this is the issue a lot of people are having. Quote
coolspot Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Well this is a first, just had an email from Lego S@H UK to state that they've cancelled my X-Wing order as "The demand for the item has exceeded our expectations and the item is no longer available." Has anybody else have this happen to them too? I ordered it as soon as it appeared for sale on the site! Ah well going to pick one up from a local toyshop so not going to miss out! Interesting, in Canada they're just sitting on the shelves. In fact, all the sets are readily available - sales don't look to be too hot. Quote

We get to December, with Christmas coming and everyone sees the movie, they'll suddenly move all at once. I'm not saying that's what will happen, but I notice every year that the Advent Calendars just sit and sit and then suddenly all vanish at once. Quote
Richpepperell Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 I picked up the X-wing on force Friday and the cockpit canopy was a perfect fit. However, it did have a bit of a scratch and I contacted customer services - new canopy arrived today and still fits no problems. Quote
lomis Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 A Target store here in North Austin, TX, USA restocked Poe's X-Wing late last week. Quote
Jacob_9821 Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Was just at my local Lego Store at Sawgrass, Florida. They didn't have the X-Wing, but only because it was sold out. I asked them about the canopy issue and they replied that it was only certain production runs. As such, none of theirs had been affected, which is good for those buyers! I wonder if that means other stores, such as the Target right across the street of that Lego store, would have a good version? Quote

Lego stores will have different distributors than other retail stores like Target, Walmart, etc. Quote
greg3 Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Well I picked up the set from a local retailer (Toymaster in the UK) and the canopy definitely doesn't fit!! It certainly seems to be incorrectly molded - the fault seems to be at the rear of the canopy as it doesn't fit the shape of the 1x2 bricks properly (I can post pics if anyone wants to see) Anyway, I emailed Lego customer services and after asking for proof of purchase they're sending a replacement. anothergol Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Ah, so this is why the set got its price reduced everywhere. Mine had a dodgy canopy as well. However, it can close "better" (still hovering, but by half a plate, instead of 2 full plates) if you lower the 2 black 1x2 slopes, which can be done using the extra parts. Quote
rollermonkey Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 I'd like to see what the messed up part looks like. I've never gotten a defective part from TLG, so it sounds interesting. Quote
anothergol Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 it looks normal, it's just a fraction of a mm off (wherever it is), making it not closable. Not the first time I see this, however here it's not closable by a large amount & looks silly. Quote
