mattb483 Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Hello everyone. It has been along time since I've posted any MOC's here. My last one was my ship the HMS Saint Matthews back in July of 2011. Well after that ship I went on to make 2 more which were made back in late 2011 early 2012. The HMS continental and the kingston were both made. I never got around to taking photos of them , but now better late then never I have took a bunch of photos of them as well as more of the Saint Matthews. Ok enough chitter chatter check out the ships!! HMS Saint MAtthews Fully Rigged Ship, Three Masts 22D HMS Continental HMS Kingston If you would like to see more check out my gallery here- http://www.brickshel...?m=mattbliss83 Thanks for Looking! Captain Braunsfeld Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Whoa! Wow! Hey, hey, hey. Fantastic ships (me and my family are impressed)! I would have turned this into 3 posts minimum Very well done, Sir - rigging and custom sails are also excellent. Quote
Plaid Beard Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Duuuuuuuuuuude....... whoa. Awesome ships! Just one of yours could sink my whole fleet! Quote
Cousarmy0001 Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 I have to say, there is one glaring problem with all of these otherwise perfect ships. They're all for the redcoats :-( Quote
BrickOn Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 These are truly awesome! I really like the use if the golden goblets as decorations. All three ships are stunning :-) Quote
Jreacher Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 I have to say, there is one glaring problem with all of these otherwise perfect ships. They're all for the redcoats :-( Hooray!! For the Red Coats!! haha, Awesome ships!, Only advice I would give is to turn the flags in the direction of the sails. But wow, your ships are great! The details and the rigging is all superb! Looks like hours of fun building those bad boys! Quote
mattb483 Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 Thanks everyone for the great comments and feedback, and not to fear but i'm currently working on a ship for my great Bluecoat army. I've been neglecting my poor blue coats so its time to raise them a decent Navy Fleet! Quote
Kai NRG Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 Very nice trio of ships! I'm especially enjoying the way you did the sterns! I think I'll have to choose the Continental as my favorite; great use of sheilds and I really like the curves you drew with 1x1 gold round studs! Quote
Staslegomaster Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 Your avatar is a redcoat admiral and you're a real admiral yourself having such a grea fleet! The pictures taken from different angles help see all the details and that's good. Everything is well done. BUT it's better to change the white background because all your sails are white. I’d like to know your opinion of my 2 sets in LEGO ideas. Do you participate there? You seem to be very skillful. Quote
Capn Frank Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 I’d like to know your opinion of my 2 sets in LEGO ideas. Do you participate there? You seem to be very skillful. Lets keep the discussion in this topic about Mattb483's ships, not your creations. That what your topics are for. Thanks. Quote
Captain Dee Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 (edited) Fantastico! All three are incredibly well-built and rigged, but the St. Matthews is my favorite with those smooth sides, powerful broadside and especially the sculpted and ornate stern. Just brilliant on all three. Excellent work! Edited September 19, 2015 by Captain Dee Quote
Mr. Townsend Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 These are excellent! I'm mighty impressed by the two line ships. Its very cool to have them both build at once and bet the look quite cool together. It looks to me like you raked the Kingman's masts and it gives it a speedy look. Brick on Mattb! Quote
