Damn... Just bought a 10212... New/sealed but with a slightly damaged box... 329€ shipped seemed all right... Hopefully it'll arrive next week.

You all got such nice white Y-Wings! Mine looks so battle-scarred, its quite nice, but from a pure collectors stand-point your whites are so much more "cleaner".

The Y-Wing was one of the first UCS models I bought(2 years ago), back then I wasent that strict with the condition of the bricks. Out of all the 21 UCS models I have(lacking the 2 releases of this year), I've got 3 that I'm not 100% happy about: Y-Wing, Snowspeeder and Blockade Runner, they all got a bit yellowed from sun light. Bought the used.

What I want to say is that I'm jealous!!

Also... Thinking about doing like Anio, and have them all without stickers on. They will wear out anyways :/

Sorry to the original poster for I keep going off on a tangent. Would love to see how u displayed your 21 ucs models, thx! Trying to find a good size, non custom display shelf/case.

Just got 9 displayed right now, dont have enough space for all of them. I've got single plate shelves on the walls and the Falcon hung onto the wall. Plus all of the models(except two) I don't have on display are still in their boxes. I will enjoy them once I get the space to have them all up :D

Can post pics if you like.

Neoconagenda: nice solution and looks great with the IS in the middle.

The y wing looks quite long seeing it in scale w the other sets

Hallonsylt: be nice to see. Thx! I've kept some unopened too, mainly bc of space where I live

Brikclinking a LEGO Set

Does it contain sand green?

No - Give it a try!

Yes - Give up

haha that is unfortunate!

Thank you once again to all those who contributed to showing their UCS displays!

I built the Y-wing with my own part collection, but switched out some of the really rare pieces. For the brown tubing, I used 6L and 4L bars. MUCH cheaper. I had brick built engines in place of the white wheel. Looked a lot better IMO, as I was able to add a lot more detail, like scorch marks. And I greebled the whole thing according to the blueprints in the book "Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels." Sorry, no pics of it. But I will soon have pics of an Uglie based off that model that will be entered in the Anthology Contest. Good luck with yours!

The uglie sounds interesting...

I also subsequently swapped out the 2x 32007 wheels at the back of the two engines for the lighter 2903 wheels - this helps the engine struts sagging over time and still looks good.

Hi All,

New to these forums. Stumbled across this post as I'm in the process of building a 10134 from scratch. I have almost obtained the majority of the parts!

eBay is a joke, they are selling for an absolute fortune, £800+ roughly at the moment. I made a huge mistake of selling my Y-Wing UCS about 5 years ago due to no room, now I've bought a bigger house I'm regretting it massively as it's a great model.

Currently have the UCS B-Wing, Original X-Wing, AT-ST, Slave 1 & Tie Fighter and 10134 is going to finish the collection off for me until we hopefully see a potential new snowspeeder next year?

I'll post up some pictures once I'm done, but some of the comments have really helped, especially for the 115 white tubes required!

Thanks!

GG

Welcome GG and glad you have decided to come back into the UCS Y-wing clan!  Yup agreed that people are asking silly money for UCS sets, especially the Y-wing, and a lot of sets have some really shoddy parts/stickers to boot!.

Look forward to seeing your pics and what changes you have made.  I did a clone wars UCS Y-wing MOC and I now want to do another 10134 but in dark red....

I'll have to have a look through your builds Hold, the clone wars one especially sounds awesome as I love that era for Lego. One model I have sitting with my UCS collection is the 7163 gunship as it's just awesome, however I've never checked to see if anyone has built as UCS version as the normal is still fairly large!

I am just running through some cost effective ideas on how to make the engines on my 10134 at the moment. Silver bike wheels on the way, I just don't want to spend £100 on some white tubing!

Have some ideas and will post up once my build starts.

Thanks!

Grand, else go for the tubes with slots and thinner motorcycle white wheels for the end piece - although the beauty of the Y-wing is that any combo works well.

I need to update the Clone era 10134 with some updated pics as I've finalised the engine build (so heavy compared to the standard 10134)...and yes it ends up being a heavy old beast!
