Blondie-Wan Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 I never understood, why don't people like the sticker over multiple parts thing? Because then you're stuck keeping those parts together if you want to keep the sticker intact. Quote
jaesroe Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 I just realized that the sign would probably be brick build and have a sticker over multiple parts. If so, that would suck. a bit more information about this GBHQ set was revealed? Quote
8BrickMario Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 I doubt it would be a STAMP. LEGO doesn't like to do that either. It'd probably be a design broken up over multiple stickers, or printed parts. What's your reasoning for the sign being this way? Quote
AFOLguy1970 Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 The most recent STAMP in a premium set I am aware of is the MAERSK freighter. When Scooby Doo came out this year, people were worried that the Mystery Machine would have one, but Lego went through the trouble of splitting up van's letters into two stickers on each side to keep that from happening. If they can do it for a $30 set, surely they can find a way to avoid a STAMP on a $350 premium set. Quote
ultron32 Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 I just realized that the sign would probably be brick build and have a sticker over multiple parts. If so, that would suck. I doubt it - probably multiple stickers or, even more likely, printing. I never understood, why don't people like the sticker over multiple parts thing? You can't take the parts apart once the sticker has been applied. Quote
droid747 Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 I hope they do a printed piece for the sign and include both the gb1 and gb2 sign printed piece. Quote
Bricky Dee Williams Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Just say no to stickers! I hope they do a printed piece for the sign and include both the gb1 and gb2 sign printed piece. I agree to both of these. Why not give us printed pieces. This is a D2C for cryi out loud, and they do it for Ideas sets, it's definitely warranted. Quote
BlueberryWaffles Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 I hope they do a printed piece for the sign and include both the gb1 and gb2 sign printed piece. Honestly, for $350 this needs to be it. Sticker the rest of the set, but the sign should definitely be printed. Quote
Emmi Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 What are the chances of this being announced at New York Comic Con this weekend? LEGO has a booth there, I think there might be quite a few set unveils this weekend, maybe even the entire 1H 2016 line-up? Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 If it's really not coming until July, I doubt they'd show it this early. But January? Certainly possible. Quote
droid747 Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 If it's really not coming until July, I doubt they'd show it this early. But January? Certainly possible. I was thinking the same thing. If it is a January 2016, I think they would reveal it at nycc but if it is not until July then I think they will announce it at a later time. Quote
Emmi Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Either this or the next landmark set will be revealed this weekend. I'm very excited. Quote
badbob001 Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Either this or the next landmark set will be revealed this weekend. I'm very excited. Wouldn't they only announce licensed products at comic-con? Quote
CM4Sci Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Either this or the next landmark set will be revealed this weekend. I'm very excited. Yeah, no. Doctor Who, Angry Birds (possibly) and Nexo Knights will be the main focus. Quote
Boromir Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 (edited) Could it be the GB Firehouse they will announce at NYCC? https://twitter.com/...441148326748160 Edited October 6, 2015 by Boromir Quote
Cwetqo Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 GBHQ will indeed be released it ComicCon, but in San Diego. :) Of course this is just my preditction, but sadly, july 2016 release is true. Quote

LEGODalekbuster523 Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Hmm, that seems odd considering what Just2Good's been saying. Speaking of reveals, It would be great if they announced a whole range of LEGO Doctor Who sets. I want a Unearthly Child set! Quote
Bricky Dee Williams Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 CM4Sci, I believe you're right about the Doctor Who, but could the spots on the right panel be streetlights for a Ghostbusters Firehouse street setup? Quote
CM4Sci Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 CM4Sci, I believe you're right about the Doctor Who, but could the spots on the right panel be streetlights for a Ghostbusters Firehouse street setup? I'm not seein' anything... lights are probably just the building lights/booth lights. Quote
Bricky Dee Williams Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 I'm not seein' anything... lights are probably just the building lights/booth lights. The box you labeled "Nexo Knights". I thought the yellow spots looked like streetlights. Why did you believe it was Nexo Knights? What gives it away? Quote

kelceycoe Posted October 6, 2015 Author Posted October 6, 2015 Hmm, that seems odd considering what Just2Good's been saying. Speaking of reveals, He's also from a different country, so I'm thinking that may be the date for his region. But I don't see how that can be different from just2good's information which we all know is directly from inside sources. Quote
