Emmi Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 But there must be announced at least one D2C set that will release in January. That could be the next landmark set, the modular building or the Ghostbusters HQ Quote
BritishBrickFan Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 But there must be announced at least one D2C set that will release in January. That could be the next landmark set, the modular building or the Ghostbusters HQ to be fair to Lego, the word "must" is a bit too heavy here - Lego doesn't "need" to release a D2C set at all, if they choose not to. it's not like their entire profit margins hinge on D2C sets, and they are usually the most expensive sets, so very unlikely to be targeted directly at Lego's core consumer base - children (sorry AFOLs!) if Lego choose not to announce any January D2C sets, it's hardly going to affect their profits, it will just upset a few AFOLs who have been waiting patiently since the last announcements after all.... if the next licenced/landmark D2C was actually Disney's Magical Kingdom castle, would many of "us" buy it?? probably not, I'm happy to wait to see what comes next, as it's not guaranteed that I'll even buy it unless I like the specific theme Quote
Agent 86 Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 A Disney's Magic Kingdom castle would be oh so magical! I'd buy it in a heartbeat. But, I would like some concrete news about either the rumoured Ghostbusters headquarters or the next Modular sooner rather than later. Quote

Clone OPatra Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 A guy posted this on reddit, but it's in german. http://www.promobric...roes-girls/9441 makes me think we'll see something this weekend... Did you read it? He says 'There's no official information' and then goes on to list his speculations on how likely a variety of things are to be revealed. We'll definitely see something this weekend, but this post is no indication of what it will be. Quote

droid747 Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Nycc starts tomorrow. I am hoping we find out tomorrow. Quote
jaesroe Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Ok...the NEXO knight was revealed prior to NYCC opening...so.....does it mean that GBHQ release in July? Quote
thedudeabides Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Two new reveals at NYCC. One today and one tomorrow/over the weekend. The second is suppose to be more on point for NYCC, possibly Angry Birds but my money is on D2C bat cave or GBHQ Quote
droid747 Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Well hope it is the gb hq set and not a batcave Quote
Ardelon Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Maybe the set will extend to the underground level, the firehouse will include the basement, and the piece count will be filled up by adding the sewer with pink ooze from GB2? Quote
badbob001 Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Maybe it'll be the batcave AND the gbhq: the gbhq will be like a regular modular building with no basement, BUT you can attach it to the top of the batcave and the top level of the batcave is the GB basement with the containment vault. Mind blown, amiright? What? Wayne manor is above what? You're not making any sense. Quote
just2good Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 (edited) Tbh fam I think the Batcave is most likely, or the Hoth Echo Base thingy. Or Angry Birds, since I heard there'll be here. Edited October 9, 2015 by just2good Quote

8BrickMario Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Considering that the Batcave is an earlier release than the HQ, it makes more sense for the HQ to be revealed later. Quote
droid747 Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Well if they don't announce gb hq this weekend then does that most likely mean no jan 2016 release? Quote
jaesroe Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 (edited) Whatever it would be, GBHQ, Next landmark or starwars, I look forward to watch for a big announcement of Lego set this evening (EST) at NYCC 2015....GBHQ!!! please~~~ Edited October 10, 2015 by jaesroe Quote
Falconfan1414 Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Well I remember someone saying angry birds sets might be released here. so we might not being seeing ghost busters set here Quote
droid747 Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Looks like no gb hq this jan. Anyways, modular brick bank announced for this jan. Set number 10251. Quote
LEGODalekbuster523 Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Looks like no gb hq this jan. Anyways, modular brick bank announced for this jan. Set number 10251. That's exciting. Quote
jaesroe Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 (edited) It is very interesting to see that so many speculations about release date, including Landmark in Jan, Modular in April and GBHQ in July, were mere speculation.... until TLG unveils the sets. ...as a modular fan, I am happy to have a new modular set in January. But also look forward to see GBHQ..since new modular will be in Jan 2016, so...GBHQ in April? or..could be both released in Jan??? Edited October 11, 2015 by jaesroe Quote
Cwetqo Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Yeah, my apologies for "misleading", but what I saw was very clear and coming directly from LEGO. It could be that they changed plans. It would not be the first time. A few days ago I found table with planned set retirements which I saw in LEGO store year and a half ago.. As you can see, things did't exactly go as was planned. Quote
