8BrickMario Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Well, you can see Vigo in his painting in the upper window, and I can see why they chose to make him that way, as he's only outside of the painting for a brief time in the film. He seems to be in his angry form after being slimed, though. Quote
the fixer Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Hey yeah, that does look like the Vigo painting behind the top window! Well spotted, dude! I hadn't noticed that! :) Quote
thewally42 Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 I can't wait for this set. One of my favorite features so far is the pink slime coming up from the sidewalk. Quote
jaesroe Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 (edited) I can't wait for this set. One of my favorite features so far is the pink slime coming up from the sidewalk. it seems that this GBHQ is based on both GB1 and GB2 movies, not just one, as we have blue stars decoration on the facade and pink slime, which was appeared in GBHQ from GB2 movie, while we also have librarian, Dana Louis and Janine in GB1 movie costume. The IDEA logo of 75827 at Shop@home has gone as well, as Designer Marcos said. Update: Although the product page says it is a LEGO Ideas set, designer Marcos Bessa has stated that it is an error on Shop@Home and that the set is not part of the line. http://shop.lego.com...questid=3187857 Edited October 29, 2015 by jaesroe Quote

He's such an iconic character, and while it's nice to get a shout out in the form of his painting, it's the character himself as a minifigure that would really be exceptional. Kind of like how everyone's clamoring for a Merlok 2.0 minifigure in the Nexo Knights line, rather than just a flat hologram sticker on a trans red panel. Quote
Emmi Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 (edited) I have no idea how to afford all the great LEGO sets anymore ... there are so many on my to-buy list at the moment. LEGO® Ideas 21108 Ghostbusters ECTO-1 LEGO® Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters LEGO® 10247 Ferris Wheel LEGO® 71016 Kwik-E-Mart LEGO® 10234 Sydney Opera House LEGO® Technic 42048 Race Kart LEGO® Architecture 21028 New York City LEGO® Architecture 21026 Venice LEGO® Architecture 21027 Berlin LEGO® Architecture 31031 Burj Khalifa plus a couple unannounced D2C sets coming throughout 2016, including the rumored Big Ben set (landmark series), another iconic-car (Creator Expert) and more ... I better start saving now - but at the same time I don't really know where I have the place to display all these sets combined with the ones I already own. Edited October 29, 2015 by Emmi Quote

8BrickMario Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Actually, I feel the same way. I feel a bit overwhelmed by excellent sets, and it's hard to choose which ones to get. Quote
davidmull Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 This set looks great. Am I right saying 21108 with go with this set? It's strange as it seems to be discontinued. ?? Quote

Bricky Dee Williams Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Which pic can you see that in? I can't see anything from the pics taken out side of hook and ladder 8 Yeah, all I see is what kind of looks like part of a kitchenette in the top window, that's all I can make out. Much less him looking slimed..... Eh, I can kind of make out half a face in the highest middle window on the front, but not really. How'd you come across it? Quote
8BrickMario Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 (edited) Through the top middle window one can see a sticker representation of a horned man, which must be Vigo in his painting. Edited October 30, 2015 by 8BrickMario Quote

Ok halloween is this Saturday!!! please let us celebrate with more detailed pics! INTERIOR shots~~~ Good point, wouldn't be a bad idea on their part. But it was said they don't shoot designer videos until November. Through the top middle window one can see a sticker representation of a horned man, which must be Vigo in his painting. I totally see it now. It's a good catch, really. Funny it's in the HQ though. It must be another "Death Star" collage, given the inclusion of various specters and the pink ooze. Quote

BlueberryWaffles Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 I really hope interior pics come out soon. I'm dying to see the inside of this thing! Quote
Lord Insanity Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Well this might just become my new favorite set of all time. This and the Ecto-1 are basically a childhood dream come true. In Ghostbusters 2 they took photos of the Vigo painting. Then they tried to develop them at the fire house. What we are probably seeing through the top window are the evil photos of Vigo in the darkroom, not the painting itself. Quote
jaesroe Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 watching GB2 again, as pink slime and 8Brickmario's finding of Vigo's painting led me to watch this classic again, also spotting blue stars of GB2 HQ~ Quote

But since this set reveal, I've been reluctantly considering going back and watching it again. I wonder if it's on Netflix? I only vaguely remember the slime-through-the-pavement scene and the slime-in-a-toaster scene. I love the original GB though, so I'll definitely be getting this, especially since I love giant LEGO sets. I can't wait to see the containment unit! I echo the wallet-strain sentiments too though, since I'll also be getting the Brick Bank. Phew, January....we'll see! Now I just want, from this theoretical new theme, a terror dog (I think they're called), Dana's fridge, a Gozer minifig, and a buildable Stay-Puft. Oh well, off to Netflix! Quote

You can get a Terror dog and a Stay-Puft man minifig in one of the Lego Dimensions packs (71233). The set, it looks totally awesome. It has almost everything one would want, judged by the images so far. The price is totally a no no for me but it is a lovely set, if the budget would allow it i would get it and the Ecto-1 set. Quote
JPN366 Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 I'm getting this as soon as it comes out. I have $10 in VIP points and I'm getting a LEGO Store gift card from my Mom for Christmas, not sure for how much. Will be using those for the Ghostbusters HQ. Quote
KlodsBrik Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 So many people asking all the time, i decided to cut the part of the photo where Vigo is. Now that shouldnt any longer be an issue. The HiRes image is here: http://cache.lego.com/r/dynamic/is/image/LEGO/75827?op_sharpen=0&resmode=sharp4&wid=4000&fit=constrain,1&fmt=png-alpha Quote
