jaesroe Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Great spot, I didn't imagine that the wall will be split and opened in two side! After seeing the pictures again, I can clearly see that it will open in that way..It might be more stable than opening one side entirely. please release the interior pics and more detailed pic TLG!!!! JPN366 Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 I agree and havethe same hopes! Janine's desk, the suit racks, everything; Im really looking forward to seeing how he accomplished these things. His work on items such as the beds and furniture in the Sinpsons' house are practically unparalleled in detail. And I also think it's make sense for the pictures to be released tomorrow, seeing as it is Halloween. And since the set is released Jannuary 1, we can expect a VIP release about December 15th. I asked one of the employees at the LEGO Store and he said no early VIP release. Just available Jan. 1st. Quote
planetes Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 I'm dying to turn this into a modular configuration. I'm not a big fan of the hinged sides. Quote
8BrickMario Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 I think the way they did it was best. It's very vertically-oriented, and the fire pole would be rather awkward in a modular configuration. Viewing it from a cross-section should show off the floors rather nicely, and make everything easier to access. Quote

r4-g9 Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 I've heard rumours of more photos on November 10... Quote
6ix Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Watched the movie again tonight (and again enjoyed it). The round blue decorations with the star are also in the first movie: http://flickreel-images.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Ghostbusters_firestation-640x420.jpg But why they are not in every scene, I don't know... http://static.businessinsider.com/image/53593c3a6bb3f7e77f632c09/image.jpg Quote

Weird.. Quote
jaesroe Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 (edited) This is another image of 4 dark blue stars on the GB2 HQ's facade. http://www.film-trav...se_movie07.jpeg It seems that the 75827 set really did well in following the traffic signal post from the original movie, though the overall colour tone could have also been good in dark orgage. http://www.themarysu...randroid23.jpeg Edited November 1, 2015 by jaesroe Quote
Bricky Dee Williams Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 I asked one of the employees at the LEGO Store and he said no early VIP release. Just available Jan. 1st. That's unusual. Must just be because its one of the first sets for 2016. Quote
tafkatb Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Not unusual at all for a January release. An early release would mean about a week before Christmas, which would be an absolute disaster. Quote

An early release would mean about a week before Christmas, which would be an absolute disaster. Haha, good point. Very good point. Although with the apparent shortage of Lego, would it make sense to release a few sets early? (Not necessarily this set) But yes, very good point all the same. Quote
Cwetqo Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Well, now we need to buy something else as this year's "holiday build" AND GBHQ right after holidays. Target achieved, TLG: Quote
escortmad79 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Through the top middle window one can see a sticker representation of a horned man, which must be Vigo in his painting. Quote
JPN366 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Well, now we need to buy something else as this year's "holiday build" AND GBHQ right after holidays. Target achieved, TLG: I've got $10 in VIP credit and a LEGO Store gift card of unknown value (hopefully $75) as a X-Mas present from my Mom that's going to be used towards this. Quote
davidmull Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Maybe it's been asked already but is this modular scale or will it connect to other modular buildings? Quote
Gremer Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Maybe it's been asked already but is this modular scale or will it connect to other modular buildings? I believe someone showed it's bigger than a modular, so I don't think it will connect. Quote
Jern92 Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Maybe it's been asked already but is this modular scale or will it connect to other modular buildings? Its base is 32x48 instead of the normal 32x32 of modulars. But you can probably place them side by side and it'll just look like a larger building. Quote
esampsonite Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Well, now we need to buy something else as this year's "holiday build" AND GBHQ right after holidays. Target achieved, TLG: It makes sense for them to hold off new sets until January. That way we buy up all their 2015 stock for Christmas presents and then we immediately go and give them more money. And yes, it's going to work on me too. Quote
davidmull Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Well I would presume it's big if the car is going to fit in it. It's a wonder there no video from lego about it yet? A idea who the designer is yet? Quote

jaesroe Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Wasn't it already stated to be Marcos Bessa, the same designer as for the Ectomobile? And also the designer of Simpson house and KwikEmart, which the reason we raise the expectation higher on the detail of interior. Quote
KCMatze Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 I am so looking forward to the designer video!! Quote
Gremer Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 I'm absolutely in love with this set (not literally, obviously)! Definitely getting this, even though the interior hasn't been shown. I'm a bit saddened it didn't come with Gozer the Gozerian though. This set, to me, almost feels like the last set they're going to make. There's no other really recognizable locations or things other than Stay Puft, and I find him unlikely. Quote
8BrickMario Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 I expect they'd get a little more use out of this license. I don't think they'd pass up the chance to make a Stay Puft set and include Gozer's humanoid form. They might even make the GBII museum with GB Louis, the main four, Janosz, Dana, and a Vigo figure. I don't think the latter's as realistic a possibility, though, since the sequel doesn't sell as well. Quote
