zipper778 Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 That's a lot of pages! Nice pics Cremilar! Quote
BirdOPrey5 Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 The only thing out of place to me is the Ecto-1, the HQ is fine. Quote
Gorki247 Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Thanks for posting those pics Cremilar. Now I'm not sure what to do. IMHO, it does look just a little bit too big when placed amongst the modulars, but it could work as a standalone building. However, I don't find the building that interesting on the outside so it may look a bit dull on its own. Not to mention that I don't really have that much space left in my layout. Then again, it is one of those sets that I might regret not getting in the end. Maybe I'll buy it anyway in a few months and save it for when I get a bigger layout. Or maybe, it's time to sacrifice my railway for more real estate space. Quote
Boettner Builds Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 It looks pretty good next to my modulars, but then again they are all at least double their normal size. I'm going to make the GBHQ even bigger so its scaled to the Ecto-1 better. I read a few pages back that someone didn't know if the big doors opened in or out in the movie. They open out, so i'll be modding that too. Quote
Jern92 Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Looks pretty good in the city layout, especially next to older modulars. Might be a little odd with the newer ones though Quote
mediumsnowman Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 (edited) The HQ looks pretty good with the modulars, but it definitely needs to be next to the bigger ones like the Town Hall and Grand Emporium. (As Cremilar has it) Imagine this beast next to something like the Detectives Office. Edited January 4, 2016 by mediumsnowman Quote
Chilis Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Designer video is out! Thanks alot! Strange it came out so late.. Better late than never I guess.. Fun video btw! Quote
Sven F Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 (edited) I preferred designer videos with slightly more spontaneity, it felt over-rehearsed which comes off as a bit ackward. I realise it doesn't come easy to people who aren't professional performers, but then i'd just rather have it raw with all the spoofs and ramblings included. Still, I am happy they still do them, you get just enough preview without giving away too many build surprises like video reviews. Edited January 4, 2016 by Sven F Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 is the box the same size as the Simpsons sets? Quote
mediumsnowman Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 is the box the same size as the Simpsons sets? The Brickset review says it's the same size as the Helicarrier. Quote
peter_m Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 I have ordered GBHQ in S@H on January 1st and my order still has an "In warehouse" status. What does it practically mean? Is anyone in similar situation? Quote

peter_m Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 I normally get the shipped email 4 or 5 days after order. Normally have item 7-9 days after ordering. I got used to having the item shipped in 1-2 days. I think S@H has spoiled me. Quote
BritishBrickFan Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 yeah after I ordered the Tardis set on the day of release, I decided to go to the Lego store and pick this up in person, so I at least knew I had one on the day of release! and yeah..... there was a queue waiting for the shop to open on New Years Day!!! Hogfather Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 I have ordered GBHQ in S@H on January 1st and my order still has an "In warehouse" status. What does it practically mean? Is anyone in similar situation? I am in the same situation, I emailed them as they have already taken the funds and it has not moved in status. Makes you wonder whether the warehouse is still on vacation or if the stock levels are low. I will play the waiting game and keep reading all the great postss here until it arrives. Quote
Boettner Builds Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 (edited) I love building this set. It makes me smile every time I look at it! It was worth driving 2 hours, standing in line, an spending the $350. It's the most I've ever spent on a single set, and I have NO buyers remorse :) Edited January 6, 2016 by redtrooper27 Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 I wouldn't have noticed if not for a Brickset comment, but one of the stickers pays tribute to Harold Ramis with a note on the board saying "RIP H.R." That little detail was so great of LEGO to include. Quote
Boettner Builds Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 I only noticed that too after that brickset comment! So many little details in this one. Quote
Andyperkins Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 (edited) I have ordered GBHQ in S@H on January 1st and my order still has an "In warehouse" status. What does it practically mean? Is anyone in similar situation? I ordered mine just after midnight and received a shipping email for it on Monday but the tracking info hasn't been updated since then so not sure if it has actually been shipped. 8BrickMario Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Is it just me, or would Nexo Knights' Flama work as a Ghostbusters character? Some sort of "fireplace spirit" or something. Her skeletal face and lower body make her seem more spectral. Quote
legonerd54321 Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Am I the only person that thinks more Ghostbusters sets are on the way? It has it's own category in the catalog and S@H. And Vigo looks like a minifigure that could be released if there's more sets.. Quote

legonerd54321 Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 We're getting one set based off of the new movie. That was fast, but I mean besides the new movie. Quote
