I'm going to order 4 of those Chinese food container pieces. Do you guys think the Panel 1 x 1 x 1 Corner w/ Rounded Corners added to the top of each one would be a good representation of the lids being open on the Chinese food containers?

Done. I'll post a picture of the guys eating around the table once I get the parts. I also ordered 4 forks for each of them. The Chinese food containers should have been part of the set to begin with.

It's unbelievable that these sets are currently being sold on eBay for £350-£450 used. Some of them are even being bid up to above £300.

The people bidding are clearly unaware that they're still available brand new direct from Lego.com at £275.

Hi guys,

I recently acquire this great set. I want to share with you the modifications I did to the garage doors to allow the ECTO1 to be parked and the doors being able to close.

Here is a detailed view...

Finally built this set, love it!

Wasn't sure if I should apply the stickers or not, but ended up doing so after building it - except for one sneaky sticker which I couldn't find when flipping through the instructions, #13. Anyone remember where that sticker should go? Picture of the sticker sheet in the spoiler tags:

Got this set last weekend, just spent time each evening building some making sure I got my moneys worth. Fantastic set, great fun to build and so detailed with some smart use of Lego. However I don't see why they included the zombie taxi driver, they'd of been better with Walter Peck.

I'm also personally upset there was no "terror dog" scene in the freezer. I know that was in Dana's apartment but if they're giving us the library ghost and taxi driver then they could have made a sticker for the inside of the freezer and not on a TV.

But I digress. Good build but very tiring. I couldn't stand to do more than 2 bags a night due to the repetition and of course the overabundance of stickers.

::Edit: Replacement is now on the way, thank you Lego! ::

Venkman has misprint/double print of the ghostbuster logo outline. I did an online parts request but the part is backordered. :( Also had first damaged piece arrive in more than 20 years of Lego (one of the brown floor plates bent and warped) but a replacement is already on the way :D.

Love the side gate, but that front logo mod has gotta go.

It's a temporary fix, as I hate stickers! I'm going to MOD the entire building so that it fits the entire baseplates, front and back. But that's on the extreme back burner...

After waiting for it since before its January 1 2016 release, I finally picked up this set today with the Black Friday sale, just as it’s about to be retired. I can’t wait to build it (but I’ll have to!).

This is the largest LEGO set I’ve ever gotten and the one with the highest MSRP (though not the one for which I’ve actually paid the most, thanks to today’s sale and a bunch of VIP points I’d saved up). The only one I’ve ever spent more on was the Star Wars Ewok Village, for which I paid the regular MSRP.

Between LEGO Ideas, LEGO Dimensions, this and everything else, LEGO Ghostbusters encompasses a total of eight sets - but this one amounts to over half the whole theme all by itself, in terms of price and/or piece count, so I’m very glad I was able to get it (unlike the vast numbers of expensive desirable sets I’ve missed out on in the past from various themes). Now the only LEGO GB thing I lack is the Brickheadz set. I haven’t really been doing Brickheadz, but I’m contemplating getting that one just to have this whole theme, but fearful it may lead me down another collecting rabbit hole...

Anyway, I’m really looking forward to putting this one together. I’m also actually thinking of mods I might want to do, even though it’s already amazing, but we’ll see...
