Captain Braunsfeld Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Well, it must have been some twenty years since Captain Cookie has taught his men to plunder. So, he and his gang are assembling on the peach to have a party. Being for the benefit of Captain Cookie. In the background you will find the famous Mozart himself: .. and I wonder where this is coming from... Strangely enough I hear some music in my head when I look at these pictures As usual the larger pics look much better. Have a nice weekend CB Quote

Anders T Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Magnificent. The titles from the album by beatles could also be fine titles for mocs, but here is a couple of ideas from movies. The Unsinkables Scurvy wars Guns of navy rum Bone huh! One flew over a pirates den Davys hunter Maroon Quote
Captain Dee Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Man, talk about a gang of misfits... Who's the yahoo drinking from the yellow mug? Or the goofus beside him? Or the doofus sitting in front of him? Oh, wait a minute... Actually that's not a bad crew. And I'm really liking the well-armed monkey. If you want to talk music, I humbly suggest, based on his recent shenanigans and his current location, that Captain Cookie start up with "Get around get around I get around" by the Beach Boys. Quote
Plaid Beard Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 What would you think if I raided your port? Would you stand up and shoot back at me? Give me your loot and I'll leave you alone, And I'll try not to burn all I see, Oh, I just steal with a little help from my gang, Oh, keep it real with a little help from my gang, Oh, make you squeal with a little help from my gang.... Capn Frank Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Great crew. Where are you? Or did you teach Captain Cookie? Who's the yahoo drinking from the yellow mug? Or the goofus beside him? Goofus? I'm not a goofus, especially when I'm wearing my RedBeard costume. Quote
Captain Dee Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Actually, Phred, I didn't notice your sigfig until after I'd already posted my comment. I was (jokingly) referring to the ones behind and to your right (left in the photo). I also wondered about the whereabouts of our esteemed Captain B and whether any of you staff would reply... Perhaps KB is napping, or pondering a witty retort, or just busy brewing another cup... Quote

Always happy to inspire you guys Great crew. Where are you? Or did you teach Captain Cookie? I suspect CB to be a non-pirate. I saw him vaguely associated with the bluecoats. Or maybe he is a privateer. We'll see. Quote

Captain Braunsfeld Posted September 21, 2015 Author Posted September 21, 2015 Ben Hur and with the same actor The ten commodores Planking with the apes/Pillaging with the apes Ok (I had just thought of "dances with pirates") The whole thing looks like a pirates parade. What are they ready for? It is a parody of a famous album cover... Quote

Captain Braunsfeld Posted October 3, 2015 Author Posted October 3, 2015 Great job Thanks - I assume you have discovered the monkey with the cannon that John Captain Cookie wanted to have in the picture. Quote
Captain Dee Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 (edited) Quick question, Captain B. What's the name of the group? "The Barnacles"? Apparently the monkey has been listening to the one that was banned by the BBC (Bricktish Broadcasting Corp.) - you know, "Happiness is a Smoking Cannon." Not from this collection, but... Took me a little, I admit. Edit: Yeah, anyone who thinks Pirate Paul is dead is more fruity than a nutcake. Wait, I got it backwards... Edited October 3, 2015 by Captain Dee Quote

Took me a little, I admit. Edit: Yeah, anyone who thinks Pirate Paul is dead is more fruity than a nutcake. Wait, I got it backwards... Yes, you need to look at the pictures backwards. And no, "The Barnacles" is a girl group. And the monkey is thinking about "Monkey's Silver Cannon". Quote
Captain Dee Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 (edited) Oh, make no mistake, I know exactly who and what this represents. But I didn't know The Barnacles was an actual group (seems like a strange name for a band, but then most of them are I suppose). I just made it up as a way of keeping the beginning and end of the real name intact while keeping it pirate-related. As a parody (I mean parrot-y, sorry) it sounded better than, say, "The Cockroaches." The "backwards" part should read "more nutty than a fruitcake." Jumping bands (from Sergeant, er, Captain Cookie's to ABBA) we find that wonderful hit "Monkey Monkey Monkey." Is this one of the *wink* strangest posts ever recorded on EB, or what?
