but i am puzzled as to where i would post one.

Probably not (Special Themes is not a catch-all forum), unless it's related to a theme discussed in Special Themes and features MOCs to illustrate the story. If it's just a story, even one related to a LEGO theme, I think it's best placed in the Community forum.
