pirzyk Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Here's my MOC of a mini cooper, a cross between the 3177-1 small car and the 40109-1 Mini MINI Cooper polybag sets. The Union Jack is adhesive vinyl cut and scaled on the computer. I'm not 100% happy with the 4 x 4 x 2/3 wedge as the roof, the back leaves something to be desired. Quote
deraven Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Well, I agree that the wedge isn't ideal, but I still absolutely love this! Nicely done. Quote
pirzyk Posted September 24, 2015 Author Posted September 24, 2015 Well, I agree that the wedge isn't ideal, but I still absolutely love this! Nicely done. A real beauty, nice job ! Thanks to both of you. Quote
LAKAbricks Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 I also agree on the roof, but otherwise it is a great little car. I like how you merged the two designs. It is nice to have an alternative to 3177. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Beautiful and immediately recognizable! Quote
Paperballpark Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Am I the only one who came in here expecting a moc of the full-size model? I mean, it's good and all that, but a bit of a let down when you were expecting to see the larger version in red white and blue! Quote

For me it was the opposite Maybe the title should be Mini Mini Cooper Union Jack Edition . Quote

The thought that it could be a MOD of the full-size model never went through my head. And as I like the minifig scaled models, I was happy to find this little car which I think could become a common sight in several LEGO cities. Quote

I am fine with changing the subject. Moderator, can you make that happen? Edited September 28, 2015 by pirzyk Quote

Rick Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Moderator, can you make that happen? No real need for that as the Town forum is for everyday contemporary creations (except military, which has it's home in Special Themes) in minifigure (or minidoll) scale. A maxi Mini would go in Special Themes, just like a micro Mini. Quote
Only Sinner Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Aww, look at it. It wants to be a car when it grows up. Cute MOC, though. I like the colors, too. Quote
