February 26, 200817 yr Ahem.... hi. :-$ I became a Bionicle fan when I first saw that smart Onua back in 2001, and I got a lot of sets during the first two years of that line. But then some kind of repetition effect kicked in and I lost my interest. I only bought one or two sets per year since than, mainly when some (IMHO) interesting set design caught my eye, like with 8811: Toa Lhikan and Kikanalo or when I thought there Edited February 26, 200817 yr by Visorak-kal

February 27, 200816 yr Well, I got Rock Band, no Phantoka, and Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney. Apollo Justice is fun. *wub* But I guess I'll have to wait for the Phantoka :'-( (but still! Rock Band! *wub* ) Good game. Oh yeah, forgot to say - those rip-offs JINZOGEN posted are pathetic. The boobs on "Roodaka" are a little square... -ZotS
February 27, 200816 yr Apollo Justice is pretty good. I've beaten it. But its not as good as Phoenix Wright. Phoenix as a character is better than Apollo. And the Pheonix wright games where funnier. Hoepfully they will bring back Pheonix as the main character by popular demand :-P. But back on topic, as InnerRayg said 10 posts up, I, like Rayg, like the Phantoka. I was really happy with them, and like Rayg was planning to get every set. But when I saw the Mistika, I was disapointed. The Phantoka where better imo. They resembled their past selves, unlike the Mistika. Tahu does look good, but not like Tahu. Hes the best out of them though. All in all, we must kill the focus groups :-P . Didn't Greg say they don't do the nostalagia thing because stores don't want to buy a set that looks like its past self? Then why do they sell Transformers, who sometimes are practically the same, or are recolours? It doesn't add up. All I really wanted from the Mistika was better masks. A better body(not piraka), some armour, better launchers/blasters would've made them even better, but if the masks where as good as the Phantokas, I wouldn't be as disapointed. I'm still gonna get them, but I believe the Phantoka are better. The Midak looks better than that Ghost blaster thing aswell. That's about it. Edited February 27, 200816 yr by Spartan_01
February 27, 200816 yr Hi everyone! This is my first post on Eurobricks. I actually like the summer toa. I have always liked onua but im a bit disappointed. onua is supposed to be small and bulky. And not wearing makutas mask *wacko* I see (somehow) the original toa in these, even gali.
February 27, 200816 yr Wait, I had a thought. Greg said that the stores didn't want similar Phantoka and Mistika because they would be too close to sets from six or so years ago and most current fans wouldn't want them since they would be too close to their original sets that they had. He also said that similarity didn't matter since most current fans don't know or remember the originals. So then theoretically, the sets could've been similar since fans wouldn't know the originals. But then again, the focus groups rejected the prototypes. Anyone wonder why they rejected the prototypes? Maybe they didn't have bazookas and chainguns that they wanted. So many questions. While I'm on the subject of the Mistika, I think they should just rename the Toa Mistika Dark Hunters.

Take a look at Tahu Nuva or Tahu Mata for that matter; his weapons, his style, his swords, his mask style, etc. Then look at Tahu Mistika. Different all around, in color scheme, style (notice the ninja-theme) etc. Just as we like the style of the Toa Mata, the focus groups don't like that style, and instead preferred this style. It is the same reason a lot of people don't like the Toa Mahri, and another lot do. There's no discernable loss in quality between the Mahri from the Inika, but their style is clearly different and it is a style that some like and some don't. Remember that we, for the most part, are older than the focus groups, so what we like is not necessariliy what the younger generation likes. VK

I'm still wondering if the original prototypes had launchers. But this ninja-preference for focus groups is intriguing me. Maybe TLC will make the next canisters ninja-styled. I won't mind, as long as they don't label them as Toa and label them as spy-style good guys and they don't look too-ninja-like.
February 28, 200816 yr But this ninja-preference for focus groups is intriguing me. ... ... ...Oooooooh, Naruto must be doing good in US. No wonder ORANGE Pohatu keeps going out of stock at my Walmart. I bet Gali's got a sharingan.

I don't like how they left many things open, I wanna know what happens! And there is only 4 cases, which is lame. They should double that number, and put less graphic effects and such in 2 of the cases, such as the intro case and a flashback case, that would make the game complete win. I still don't approve of ninja tahu. It's just not his style. Guess we will just have to live with it. Or redesign him.

I'd be thrilled if this was the template of the new direction of Bionicle. I mean, large cast of characters so they can keep selling sets. The characters grow and gain new powers through training and hard work but are still recognizible as the same characters. Good and Evil strictly defined but with enough Gray (and side-switching) to make it accessible to younger and older kids. People trying to poke each other in the butt....okay, I'll be fine if this didn't transfer. And I want a Toa of Drunken Fighting that comes with pre-loosened ball joints! -Tohst
February 28, 200816 yr I want a snake-like pedophile Makuta who must find a new host every three years. Now. Wait...did I sound weird or what? Shakar Edited February 28, 200816 yr by Shakar
February 28, 200816 yr Author Hmm... Lego ticks and Black rats(host) Black Plague? A host would be cool... If you think he is world, he's not, he's in his world(link). :-P Nice idea, Shakar... Time to go MOC!
February 29, 200816 yr Last time I checked this was a bionicle forum not a naruto one. So still no mazeka pics, huh |-/
March 1, 200816 yr UhhI was just wondering, what is Makuta's Name? (If you don't feel good saying what it is here, then do you have AIM?) Well, I do have AIM, but I've already said it twice to two other users, so here it is.You sure you want to see it? Sure you're sure? Really? Last chance to turn back! MoMN's real name is Teridax. Sounds similar to Tridax, huh? Eww, X.
