I don't really see what you're saying anyway. A the Makuta isn't going to say "I'm a the Makuta." You could use it in a sentence like "The Makuta are attacking!"

As for the Makuta of Metru Nui -- he adopted "the Makuta/Makuta" as his name to be called by non-Brotherhood beings, as opposed to telling everyone his name. Icarax was quick to divulge his name to Onua, so it's not like every the Makuta uses the Makuta as a name. The Makuta of Metru Nui prefers to be seen as the Makuta/Makuta, and not his real name, due to the mystery and as a sort of leadership thing.

Being referred to as the Makuta would be something similar to a human that invaded Mata Nui, they'd call him the human, most likely. Unless talking to him, in which they'd say something like "Where did you come from, human?" as opposed to "Where did you come from, the human?"

The fact that he was called "the Makuta" implied there were more, depending on how you take it. Well, that's what the story team decided anyway, since the plan of the Makuta as a species was there from the start.

So yeah, you can call him the Makuta if you want. He'd probably prefer that anyway. :P

A friend of mine over BZP had an idea. What if the 3 "T sets" are BOM experiments? That would kinda explain the weird names, the T's and the numbers. Seriously, think of it: three giant beasts the Toa and the Makuta can ride. That would be GREAT.

Who says they have to be Titans? Remember that the Marklar(Oops, I mean Makuta) were blinded, and it was announced, "No matoran sets for the summer". Perhaps these are small rahi used to help them find their way around. Just something to consider.

Isn't he still the darkness that's inside every Bionicle being, with the sheer power of destruction? It's not like he lost the abilities he had in 2001. And of course there's less mystery. It's been seven years.

Uh, they're not called Vamprah, they're called Makuta, the blue one is called Vamprah. There's Makuta Icarax, Makuta Antroz, Makuta Vamprah, Makuta Chirox, Makuta Mutran, and the Makuta of Metru Nui, whose name is unknown. Plus Makuta Spiriah, who is in hiding from the rest, and all the other (currently) nameless BOM members.

Yes, they're from the same species. They're shapeshifters. Hence the black tentacled monster and Matoran 2001, the shadow titan in 2003/2004, and the Dume imposter in 2004. They're the same being.

While I do not care for the idea of a "species" of Makuta, I'll go with it. They're all evil great beings, yadda, ok, fine.

I meant a species using the name "Makuta". In 2001, it was "The Makuta". Then it got shortened to "Makuta". Now, all the baddies are Makuta.

No. Only the Makuta in the air when Matoro used the Ignika were blinded. That means Mutran, Icarax, and the three Makuta in the swamp's eyes are still intact.

to me, i dont care that makuta is a species name, THE makuta is still cool and still just as dangerous. he's even more imposing when you realise it's almost impossible to kill him, and that he leads a brohhood and has massive armies at his command, and he could smash an islandful of toa if it was part of his plan, and all the thought and apperantlosses that went into his plan makes him seem cunning beyond compare. Takanuva was dead on when he told hahli that THE makuta could have won if he had used all the powers at his command and that makuta let him win. THE makuta is still cabable of serious damage.

Seriously though. The Barraki are all over the place on clearance in the US. Do you get that sort of thing in Denmark? Will patience reward you with cheap prices or will patience reward you with not getting the sets you want?

That is some really bad conversion on LEGO's part, especially considering that I thought 5.99 USD was a tad expensive for the Matoran. At least they could have kept them 4.99 like last year. I know I wouldn't pay ten dollars for a Matoran.

Tohst--I always find waiting for BIONICLE sets can be risky. For example, Vezon and Fenrakk, Dekar and Thulox all disappeared from Shop at Home without going on sale. It is always risky, waiting for clearance, especially since most stores do not stock up on the previous year's sets after Christmas. Once they're gone this time of year, they're gone for good. Then again, Axonn and Brutaka both became half-price after a year. So I guess it depends on the risk you are willing to take.

The Barraki are on clearance here now... they're only $13 (70 DKK) in some places! ;-)

Yeah, I'll wait 'til these guys are on sale, no doubt... I just can't see anyone buying a Matoran, even in this crazy country, for 50 DKK. :-P Phantoka are still at standard canister set price, which is $20 (100 DKK). $33 (170 DKK) for Toa Ignika.

Whoa, 6.49 Euro for the Matoran when I switch to Italy. *n*

I'm just gonna buy them from Bricklink. I'll save up, that's for sure. The Phantoka cost 13 Euro! I'm very glad I bought them from Ebay: I spent 46 DOLLARS for the shipping. Yet, believe it or not, I paid less than buying from S@H.

Back on the summer '08 names...

The remaining Toa Nuva and Takunuva! I'm excited to see how they turn out. I don't know what to expect out of them...

A BZPer had a good idea of the remaning Makuta:

Summer is in the Swamp of Secrets, so the makuta are most likely gator-like.

This has to be what the names are derived from:

8694 Krika: "Crocodile" so this one's green

8695 Gorast: "Gore" this one's orange/grey

8696 Bitil: "Bite" and this one's white

8698 Vultraz: Obviously "vulture". This is either a rahi or a makuta.

I like the idea of reptilian-like Makuta. And a vulture-like Rahi. *y*

Then I believe the "T" sets are giant robots. I pray that they arn't vehicles. A BZP member said he wanted "giant weapons to place your entire hand or arm in to fire them." :'-(

Rockoh T3 would be a land based titan, Jetrax T6 an air-based, and Axalara T9 a water-based(?) Titan.

I don't know what to think of the Mazeka character. I hope he's not another Toa (that would make 9 this year!) or Makuta (9 again!). I hope he's just a plain ol' Titan.
