Actually, if you look closely, you can see the inside of Axalara is hollow... and I think the flying refrigirator Rockoh T3 is hollow too. *wacko*

The front is hollow, but the back is full of axles and pins that make it complete. So it's not hollow.

WTH? Those didn't sell well the first time around, what's makes LEGO think they'll sell better now?

Theres a whole new generation of 8 year olds for TLC to sell their crap to. *n*

It appears that the Axalara T9 have a compartment to its front, where the two Midak Skyblasters are attached to the FOUR (top two and bottom two with spikes) side panels that can open up to reveal them... I wonder if the gun-like trigger below proto Lewa has anything to do with that?

I hope there will also be other functions on her :D

Yay near 700 pieces!!! Btw, love that gold on Toa Ignika (heyyy, I have a relative!)

You see, I get sick of those bobertslabs over on BZP arguing with me about how "Oh, well, they couldnt make new torso/arm/leg molds for the Toa Nuva because the plastic would cost too much" and then TLC goes ahead and makes un-selling worthless CRAP that has no resemblance to a Lego product other than the "Lego" logo stuck to it like this worthless bloody SHOOTER! For the plastic they're paying for for just ONE of those lame guns, you could probably make about 5 completely revamped bloody Nuva!

DARGH!

How do you know they didn't sell well? I know I didn't buy them, but I'm sure littler kids would love them.

Remember, guys, I wouldn't get too upset on this stuff, but it really has no bearing on the rest of what BIONICLE does. These are promotional items; little kids see the guns, think they're cool, buy them, then go take a look at the rest of Phantoka since that is how it's labeled. It's only a typical marketing scheme to sell more, like everybody does.

1. I would not try to guess LEGO's marketing tactics; they're making money.

2. I am not sure LEGO is the actual producer of these items, and in any case I highly suspect that the plastic here is far cheaper than the high-quality plastic of most LEGO bricks.

3. The price of the high-quality plastic has to do with oil and its rising costs. LEGO already has to pay more for plastic. Adding new pieces increases the cost of the steel molding, not the plastic. So this really only costs about the price of one new mold, since the shooter balls are certainly not plastic.

I don't think so, Ignika, because if you look, the shooting mechanism is facing the outside. There is no way, even if that was a trigger, for it to pull that little shooter. However, I do think you're right that the sides may flip open. What I'm hoping is that there is another of those Nuparu Mahri shield landing pads on the other side of this thing.

That's handle. See, this things are hand-held weapons...

Not just a handle, I think, it may help the machine to hold up straight when you put it flat on the ground.

But it can act as a handle! :)

You're right, I must admit. That fraggin' "target audience" is younger that many of... us (ha) and they LIKE GUNS. Frag.

But... Lookie here, what people in shop gave to my friend...

This is a short book that contains pictures and descriptions of all BIONICLE sets and is labeled"BIONICLE History". But, wait.. let's take a look at last page...

Name calling doesn't do anything, you know.... :-/

Besides, IMO, I think that's not true. As Visorak Kal said, this gun, cruddy as it may be, probably isn't costing TLC much, since it's made out of cheap, non ABS plastic and may not even have been made by TLC themselves. All new lego parts, no matter how small or big they are, cost lots of money to make, but all the worthless side-merchandise probably doesn't. *wacko*

Woah!

Somebody please do that to pohuatu(brown of course)

And all of a sudden, Jinzo and every other dedicated bionicle MOC'er add a new product to their "dream product list." *wub*

Cool :) Now we are sure about the fact that they are bugs. Are those 2 Makuta and Tahu? I mean who is the one you have your thumb on?

That's not MY thumb... I think that this one is Makuta too. Judging by masks, two Mistika in the right corner are Tahu and Krika (the ones who I'll buy), and, I think, also silhouette of Gali can be found on the background. At least I think so.

Because a bunch got thrown in here, after only being out for around two weeks.
