Am I the only one who recognises that when looked at closely (and zoomed in a little), Gali's Mask looks like her original from 2001?

An Image I made

You need to save it and zoom in on paint or something.

I think it's very similar, you can clearly see that Gali Mistika has a visor.

Hey, you're right! If you look closely, you can see a triangle mouth too! Good job for noticing this - I'm quite fond of the set now. *wub*

Thank goodness someone agrees with me! *sighs with relief*

Everyone I spoke to about it said "I can't see it" or "What? that looks nothing like it."

Personally I think Gali is due to be the best of the Toa Mistika, and Bitil or Krika tying in top place for best Makuta Mistika.

Does anyone think they may use Gali for the Mistika advertising like they did with Lewa? She is in her element now after all.

Well, they advertised Hahli Mahri already...

So they should use Tahu. It's been a long time since red sets took the spotlights, and they are the original heroes...

OMG! GALI HAS BULKY ARMS :-X :-X :-X !!! Seriously, what is LEGO doing to female characters? Turning them into some giant muscular freaks?

You think gali's got it bad, onua has a hordika shoulder piece for a forearm.

Posted (edited)

Some things I noticed:

1 Bitil's wings are the same pieces as Onua's ugly left shoulder, Takanuva's chest piece, and Jetrax's vehicle armor

2 Takanuva's hand is constituted of white mahritoran blades

2 Takanuva's legs are in the same stlye as Icarax's and Kikanalo's (with those ugly support things on the side

4 Axalara's rider's mask's prototype is this: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/jetsland...eward_solek.jpg

I really hope that:

1 Bitil is Matoran Jaller's yellow, and not that disgusting keetorange.

2 Tahu has a mouth hole

3 Onua's mask is not like Hewkii's

Hmm...

Krika: Love it so far *wub* . Maybe the body could not be straight up, but it looks cool. Sort of makes up for last year's poor white canister designs. *y* so far.

Gorast: :-X . I'm not sure about the body, but he uses Av-Matoran limbs :-X . For all six of his limbs. His feet maybe useful for big titans, though. His face is sort of weird. *n*. I don't think that *n* can change.

Bitil: I guess it's a regular canister for this guy. Wings are okay. Like the feet. The recolored yellow Rahkshi legs are awesome for MOCers. I want to see what his other weapon is. *y* for now, may change.

Gali: This is just me, but the masks looks like an Olisi. Looks like she's packed on some pounds and armor since her pre-Mistika days. I can't make out what her other weapon is besides her gun. *n*.

Onua: On the other hand, Onua has lost a lot of heavy armor. He's got some kind of weird red spike and some tacked on ugly shoulder armor. It doesn't look good as shoulder armor on him. Also wish he had another weapons besides his gun. *n*

Tahu: Discussed to death before, gets a big *n* from me.

In conclusion: The Mistika look less like the Nuva than the Phantoka did. They also appear to have worse designs than the Phantoka as well. Also, is the Mistika Makuta's new shooter the weird lime thing from Krika's hand?

Posted

Oh but it does, my friend. Krika is the only Makuta with a spine/spike ponytail attached to her mask, that makes it a strong evidence of a female part.

Here are some Mistika observations!!!

Toa Nuva Mistika/Misti-va

Tahu Nuva Mistika: Tahu possesses FOUR jet engines attached to us torso, with two small jet wings on the top two. His primary weapon is a three bladed shuriken on his right arm, along with Metru leg armor for both his arms and thighs. His left arm carries the new Misti-va launcher, with what appears (and assumed) to be shooting a Zamor like the Midak Skyblaster of the Phanto-va. He has the Inika web feet, and wing-like blades from Gorast on his thighs.

Gali Nuva Mistika: Described as the Bulk of the Misti-va, Gali Nuva possesses Inika leg piece for both arms and thighs. Her arm armor are Inika spike feet pointing upward, and she has Inika thigh armor turned upside-down for her thigh armor. She uses Metru feet, which have one Tahu jet engine on each to symbolize that she use those for flight/hoverage. Her mask may be translucent, and she has two Tahu small jet wings to act as her earpieces. It appears that she does not possess a weapon other than the Misti-va launcher, but it is yet to be revealed.

Onua Nuva Mistika: He is most mysterious, but not enough to hide his details from my Photoshop skills. Onua can be described as a Hordika, because he has a Solek arm piece for his right arm and a Rahkshi leg arm on the left. His left Rahkshi leg arm has a Takanuva 08 chestpiece as a shoulder-mounted Shield, which makes him look the most animalistic and Rahi-like out of the Misti-va. He also does not appear to have a weapon other than the launcher. He has rightside-up Inika thigh armor for his thighs, and to our relief, he possesses a red small jet wing on both his shoulders, making him look like Rahi with jet wings! The leg, feet and chest are still too blurry, but I have pretty good idea what they are already (Rahkshi legs with red jet engines attached on its back)

Makuta Mistika

Makuta Krika Mistika: SHE, for starters, have a spiny ponytail on the back of her mask which extends a pretty good length and is presumed to be bendable material. The reason that her head looks nothing like the one on the back of the BIONICLE History booklet is because, it is tilted into a menacing/Takadoxish positio, plus the red paint on her ponytail beginning can be confusing. I used brightness/contrast to take a closer and detailer look at her mask, and the white in the background was hiding her spiny ponytail end. Her arms and legs are black Av-matoran thin arms (Radiak, Gavla...), which are fixed to 90 degrees. Her weapons are boney blades of white and blood red badness (no pun intended)! I assume that she will have four of these for both her arms and legs, or two new weapon molds for her legs instead. She will have a new chestpiece, no its not angled outward to represent the feminine side of things. Her launcher, dabbed by me the "BoneSpitter" because it appears to be a skeletal hand/rib cage crossbow that launches a green colour goop projectile, is a back/shoulder mounted launcher attached to her right side, which in the picture can move on top of her shoulder or beneathe the armpit (mind you) to surpise Toa. She is a definite *wub* at 40 piecies... *sigh*

Makuta Gorast Mistika: He is one bad bug, I'll say. He appears to be based on the pond skater/skitter, which has close to four to six appendages in different species. Here, we see Tahu's leg wing blades as Gorast's primary weapons for his top two arms. His second lower set of arms have his two toed feet piece, which acts as his natural claws opposed to his protodermis weapons. The left arm's claw of the 2nd set holds the BoneSpitter, it is attached to his forearm and not held by his claws, convenient if you ask me. His leegs are only held by Av-matoran thin arm with Metru thigh socket connectors, and two toed bug feet. All his arms and legs use lime green Av-matoran thin legs, which make him seem a bit angled. Gorast's mask if frighteningly similar to Pridak's face, but to me it seems he opened his mouth to expose some fangs, as if snarling or screeching. It appears to be an Av-matoran head behind his mask, but we will see. His chest is a turned around INIKA back!!! They didn't even try to conceal it with another chest piece, a definite no-no. Finally, his top set of arms have glider-like wings attached.

Makuta Bitil Mistika: Bitil is of bright yellow, not Keetorange! He seems like a hybrid between a wasp/bee with a beetle, where is name taken from. His mask is like an alteration of Radiak's without the six fangs, which is split in two in the middle like a Mask of Quick Travel (Iruini and Defilak's), it has a stylish triangular hole on at the back of his head and he has eye lashes (looking mad and evil). He has TWO Takanuva 08 chestpieces as his silver wings, which would look cool when folded back as back armor. His arms and legs are both Rahkshi leg piecies, YELLOW Rahkshi leg pieces (yay, now you can make a Rahkshi of Heat Vision from "The Darkness Below"). His feet looks like Gorast claws/feet, only all silver in colour. He seems to have Gorast weapons as thigh armor, connected by the black tube pins. The arms each have two red Viking tooth, from Takadox and Mantax, that points forward instead of put on the back of arms. He has dual blade weapons, only with the BoneSpitter on his left arm. Can't see chest...

There you go, my six cents!

Here's some stuff I noticed. Sorry if it was aleady pointed out somewhere.

Tahu has red "booted" Inika feet

Gali has silver Metru feet

Onua has black Rahkshi feets

Gorast and Bitil have new feet

Gali has jets on her feet and silver inverted Inika thigh armor

Tahu has silver Rahkshi legs

I think this was pointed out before, but Krika and Gorast have Av-Matoran limbs

Gorast's lower "hands" are the same piece(s) as his feet

There is a gun on Bitil's right arm, and Gorast's left one, and what appears to be one is sticking out of Krika's right side

In the pics, there is no piece count or other information besides the age group, on Gorast's box

The armor on Onua's arm, seems like a night's shiled, if you ask me

This next one is pretty obvious, bt Gali's left arm is an Inika leg.

In reply to the mask similarities of Gali Kaukau original vs. Kaukau now, I think they ook the same, too. They ARE very similar.

WHAT ARE THOSE RED THINGS COMING UP OUT OF ONUA'S SHOULDERS??!?

Makuta'sdarslave, I actually think Tahu has piraka legs for all of his limbs.

Also, I think we might get a new "leg" piece on Gorast. Notice the second part of his leg, it has a joint at the Av-Matoran leg's end. It has a long part, and then another joint. I think that it is not a socket joint, making it a normal thigh joint, but instead a ball. So it would be possibly equivalent to an Av-Matoran limb, only perfectly straight.

Maybe?

O, ok, I see it, now... I think, you may be right, that would be nice, but you want to know what would be even nicer? If the Av-Matoran legs' knee area would bend on the larger sets, but still be very easily posed. Cool, right? Yeah. I man like, it could bend, but not bend so easily that if you tried to stand the set up, it would fall down, maybe the knee could lock into different aareas, or like the Knights Kingdom limbs, when they clicked in diferent, use that on the Av-Matoran limbs. Yeah, that's it, they should do that.

That would be nice, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Lego wouldn't change the piece and try to keep the appearance the same, I'm fairly sure of that. Otherwise we'd have very similar Toa Nuva right now. ;)

Also, Onua does seem to have a regualr arm and and a smaller arm, not sure wether this is an Av-Matoran arm or some other arm... also he seems to have new leg pieces... They seem to short to be normal limbs, but not the right shape for Metru or Vahki legs... hm...

As I stated above, Onua has a Solek arm for his right and a rahkshi with Taka chestpiece for left... Oh the agony of it...

Really? I'm not seeing the top part of it that should be there... and it seems longer... eh. Oh well. We'll have to wait until toy fair to see. :)

Tee hee. I like you. You're funny. Welcome to Eurobricks!

Assymetrical arms? Avtoran limbs in canister sets? Instead of adding differences like with the Mata, like with the Mahri? Masks that don't even mock what they're supposed to be? Tahu's ninja blade? The thought that, if you were a Makuta, you'd transform into something less stickfigureish?

Welcome to modern Bionicle, just when I thought the Phantoka were good.
