Greg also said Antroz and Chirox's names weren't based on anything.

How much do you trust this guy?

Hey you're right! Hm. Good point.

FlamingShadows: I actually do like Tahu a lot, and Gali looks "okay," but Onua is just bad. Onua's bad in terms of the set, I don't really care how much they look like the Nuva, as long as they portray the actual characters... which Onua probably doesn't anyway. :-/ I mean, what's with that mask? It's bigger than his body!

Zaktan: We also get story info from the Toy Fair, right? I wonder where Kopaka is... Lewa and Pohatu are both riding vehicles. 8-|

We already found a bio of Vultraz -- he's evil and his Midak adapted to shoot shadow. He against the Toa (duh).

Thread-bare connections and coincidences sure do proof your point, yup.

First off. Not a bootleg at all. She is a custom Micronaut that is exclusive to members of a Micronauts yahoo group, that I am a member of. ;;D That's not what a bootleg is. A boootleg is when a less than reputable company copies molds and tries to pass their stuff off as legit. This guy didn't do that all. He made custom molds of his own, and states it as a fan-made tribute. Much like a solid 3-D fanfic.

Don't take this as an attack on you, I'm just giving the facts.

... ...???

I remember Palisades did a Brainscan Membros exclusive with a Micronauts fan club... but I don't think Suckadelic owns the rights to intellectual property of Micronauts. The head and wings, if I'm not mistaken, were yoinked from Acro Elsa whose mold is owned by Takara. The sword looks familiar as does the body... I'm not thinking they're original sculpts. As for not being bootlegs... how so? They're even LISTED as bootlegs on their own site lol.

Are you telling me their use of Kenner / Hasbro molds for their Star Wars figures are merely "custom"?

I mean, granted, they're not using the original molds, but they're grabbing limbs from all over toydom to make these figures... the only sculpting would be in smoothing over / minor alterations to them. I mean heck, they made a figure out of Micronauts Antron and Fisher Price People Clawtron lol.

Remember, there's a reason these figures are given short release runs. If they weren't bootlegs, they could sell as many as they wanted without legal ramification.

Even THIS fully original sculpt is too infringing to be released in any large quantity.

I recall dollar stores being sued / forced to yank clearly custom-sculpted from scratch likenesses of Boba Fett and Darth Vader... how would it be if Sucklord with an only mildly modified head and body of a Kenner / Hasbro sculpted figure go down?

I wonder what the legal deal is though... ...the convenience store down the road from me has Bionicle ripoffs of Sidorak, Keetongu and ...and uh, the other titan from that wave lol. However, they retooled it so they're less take-apart, have a flashing eye and scream stuff like "Fire! Fire!".

Am I to believe that by a simple customization of the Lego-sculpted characters and parts that Lego wouldn't ask Turkey Hill to pull it off the shelves?

(Disregard entire above post if Takara has given rights of Acro Elsa's likeness to Suckadelic lol)

Antroz = Antrozidae (Pallid bat)

Chirox = Chiroptera (Order of bats)

Coincidence? You decide! :-P

I didn't mean that, inthat way. If I remember correctly, it was awhile back Suckadelic was making those a in very limited quantity, and was only charging materials + shipping, and only to other group members. Not for profit. Unless I'm just thinking of a different member's custom.Hmmmm, not sure now. I'll have to go and search the messages again. Another guy did a complete Mini- Endevour.

Sorry for going so far off subject. D'oh!

I just hope that some those prototype's colors get change a bit, and get improved. For instance, Vultraz would look waaaaaaaay better if he were Purple.

Sweet!

Gali: Still to bulky... and ears.

Tahu: no comment.

Onua: Finaly. He has hewkii mahri feet, rahkshi legs, and inika leg armour. The red aprts are wings, as are the silver fender. No mask though.(still)

Krika: Definaltly a phantoka body, with matoran limbs, an a VERY FLAT HEAD! *wacko* I can see it though.

Gorat: Ugh, four arms, backward body, wings, weird legs and huge feet.

Bitil: Photk body, yellow parts, still a strange mask, and large fender wings.

Still withold judgement until toyfair though.

Those new pictures are great! Can't wait for later today when we should see different angles from actual toys.

One worry. The Makuta gimmick weapon to me looks air powered, like you press on the little air pump in back and it blows out the ammo. Let's hope it works better than the Mars Mission air powered weapons. Heck, lets hope it works better than the squids.

Anyway, I still don't see the Nuva sets as being the same characters. The don't have any of the original feel of them at all. Ah well, at least I'm lucky enough to have the originals so I can just keep using those.

Same here. I can't imagine Kopaka throwing away a sword and shield for a huge gun with a spike. Also, they have too much dark bley, among other things.

Krika: It seems her back legs are Kardatoran limbs connected to a joint or double-joint that connects to her back feet. Same for her front legs. Ugh. On the other hand, she has a double-jointed neck, but I really don't see the point...oh well. It appears her launcher is on a tail or shoulder-mounted. Not as good as I expected...

Gorast: Hmmm. Huge feet, but they might be good for titans. He uses Kardatoran legs for his legs, but at least they're double-jointed. Still... He uses a backwards Inika back. Why?! Some claws that may be good, I guess. Also, he appears to have weird solar-panel wings. Also, like Krika, he uses Kardatoran limbs for his arms. Worst than I thought.

Bitil: His wings look nice, I guess, and his feet look big, but may be useful in large Rahi. Same opinion as before.

Gali: Still bulked up. She's got some weird things on her launcher, like a disc. There's also an aiming light. It looks like the elf ears will be removable. Her gun is blocking her body, though.

Tahu: ...ugh :-X .

Onua: Why does he only have a gun? Also, I can't see what his body is, but that red spike on his shoulder looks like one of Gali's elf ears. Can't see where the mask is.

FINALLY!!!!!!!

I can now critic these a lot better now!

Tahu: Well, he's still ninja-fied with a Knight's Kingdom head, but he looks lightly better than before. Maybe that throwing star on his right arm doubles as a shield.

Gali: BLECH! Sge looks way too bulky, elf ears do seem removable however, which is good. Bley Inika limbs for arms and legs. Inverted silver Inika thigh armor. Her gun thing seems to have the Makuta gun thing coming up out of there as well. Weird thing on her shoulder. (Is it just me, or is there red paint splashed around this pic?). New shoulder armor.

Onua: WHERE IS HIS FLIPPIN' HEAD?... OR OTHER WEAPONS?! As i pointed out before, that armor on his left arm, might be a shield or something. The gun may have something like a claw above it, like Hydraxon's set, the arm could be upside down. Thgings behind his legs, and red things behind him. What are they *stares*

Krika: Well, I'm going to assume it's a girl (for now) and say, She looked better in that other magazine! What with the Rhino Beetle horn and all, and now it's like a flat piece of crap. It's looks as if there's a fifth lomb coming out for the launcher. Sharp pointy legs. Av-Matoran limbs. Yep, that's all I can say for HER.

Gorast: Head looks WAY better now. The upper right arms seem to have Nupara Inika's claws, but the lower ones have the same claws that his feet are made of. Just telling the truth, smae color and everything. Av-Matoran limbs with double joints coming out of ther for the feet to go on. Backwards Inika torso. Strange blocky "wings" coming from his upper arms (what is this, Pixies off of Fairly Odd Parents?) and a gun on his lower left arm.

Bitil: Fianlly, our grand yellow friend. Yellow Rahkshi limbs, same feet as Gorast, he seems to resemble Takadox a bit, more in that dark pic we got earlier with the Rhino Krika in it, though. Those claw things on Tahu's legs? Yeah, he ahs 'em too. Blades for "hands" as it appears. Armor, like Onua's shield thing, for wings.

And they all have guns. Nuva's are like Zamors, only slightly larger, and Makuta's like pretty cool cannons.

PEACE OUT!

Once again I'm baffled about Onua. The picture is great resolution but I still can't tell too much about him: is that a gun attachment or claws, is that a unique chest piece (or is that part of his mask *wacko* ), and what's with the red things on the back of his legs (rockets)?

For Gali, I'm lost for words... really :-/. Is that a gun with a huge attachment to it or is it a giant probe with a laser sighting.

Tahu, probably the most iconic Bionicle character due to the Hau kanohi has nothing that resembles his former self! Also is it necessary to have that many pointy pieces to him? Pointy shin gaurds, pointy shoulders, pointy feet, and pointy fin on top of his mask. Oy :-|.

I must say I do like the Makuta... well, at least the white and the yellow one. I'm excited to see more pics for them but not too much with the Toa. Ever since the Hordika I haven't liked the Toa sets too much. Oh, well.

Thanks, jaller2008 for posting the pics ;-).
