I also understand I respect Lego enough not to ruin their whole year's worth of story just so you guys can discuss one element released illegally.

Are you 100% positive this was released illegally? As much as one could ask another if they know it's real because they're Lego employees, the same could be asked to anyone thinking it's a leak.

Lego does this ALL the time.

Pics and videos come out mad early, they get all swollen and Jigglypuff over it, then everyone gets into a riot mentality trying to search out the censored stuff.

I admit, this does seem less intentional this time, but hell... I've made up my own mind that it's just more covert viral advertising from them.

Here's what I think happened.

LEGO made a CG image of a giant stone dude, and then drew up a picture of Metru Nui and its dome and shaped the dome like a head. Just for fun. It's not canon, and they put it in a concept video (for viewing by themselves) to make people ("people" being themselves, they're the only ones who are supposed to see it) think Mata Nui is the domed universe when he's really a white titan with a Midak on some island they just invented so no one could guess where he is. Because they'd hide Mata Nui's identity and location and appearance from themselves, and let's face it, a white titan with a Midak is so much cooler than him being the very universe they live in.

1) Teridax isn't his brother. And did you expect Mata Nui to be a Makuta?

2) The Hau thing is a myth, like you said. How would anyone know if he had a Hau? No one's seen him, well, they don't know they have. And the Hau is a logical mask to represent Mata Nui, don't you think?

Woah, woah, slow down there for a second. Ruin their whole year of storyline? Look, seriously, we aren't "ruining" their year of storyline just because we're talking about something that was leaked. The person who leaked it in the first place "ruined it." Do you honestly expect us to pretend that this whoe thing never happened just to supposedly keep TLC's secrets safe?

Besides, there's another thing: you know how everyone always says that BZP doesn't have that much influence on TLC because they are in the minority. Well, look at them - over 30000 members, and they don't even make up a fraction of Bionicle's fans. Now look at us - 1000 members or so on eurobricks. Now, if BZP has little influence on TLC, how much do you suppose Eurobricks has. Basically nothing. TLC may say otherwise, but a thousand members here aren't affecting bionicle much at all just by talking about an ALREADY leaked video, especially considering that only a small fraction of the members here spend time in this part of the forum, and considering that BZP and the members on it mostly ignore this forum.

Look Swert, I respect you. You've done a lot to help bionicle, with Biosector01 at all. But frankly, of all things, this video may only make us respect TLC's new storyline decision even more. A lot of us are pleasant suprised by this, and who knows - TLC may just be playing the defender when they actualy planned this all out. I'm not sure I believe that, but TLC is a buisness, just like Lucasarts, Playmobile, and others. It's not like things like this are so shocking - nothing really is that much in the buisness world. I think you just are blowing this out of proportion - as again, Eurobricks has little to no effect at all on Bionicle, TLC, or the community as a whole.

Yeah, guys. It was revealed a while ago that the original legend of Mata Nui was just that - a legend made up by the Matoran. Even in the bionicle world it doesn't have much influence at all, as the real storyline is different.

Well, I don't think you know what you're talking about. He was clearly standing in Karda Nui, man. Plus, if he was under it, how could he get out without blowing up EVERYTHING IN SIGHT? Seriously.

I dunno, the skies around him look a lot different from every other shot of Karda Nui we've seen, it looks more like the surface world to me.

But yeah, Ol' Taka 1.0 was quite a disapointment. Only good thing was the huge mega whoping total of 4 pieces of gold armor.

I think I actually like him far better as a mega powerful titan, despite the lack of golden armor.

That would be great, seems even little tiny non-English language video sites have had it wiped. How will you transfer it?

Anyway, two things of note, no speculation included.

Aaahhh, I'm not so stupid to delete SUCH videos from my hard drive.)) I carefully burn them onto several special CDs and hide'em around. And even after that I never delete them. My BIONICLE Videos folder right now is near 6 gigabytes... just 'cause I store on my PC every last video I managed to find. Supposedly my collection of videos is the largest on Earth!

I've already uploaded it onto Savefile, but, for the sake of us all (insert any smile you want) I would rather prefer to give the link to it via PM.

Indeed. Of course, this being a leak and all, Greg F and TLC trying to keep the storyline safe by claiming that this is a concept video. The cool thing is - he never actually said that the footage hinting at Mata Nui being the universe is no longer valid in storyline.

Whatever. It's not really his fault that he has to do this, after all. I mean, he can't even criticize any Bionicle set at all because he works for TLC.

Oh, and I'm really happy right now. Because I will almost certainly be able to go to the new library event Greg is doing in July - since I live in Southeastern CT.

Hey, I was looking at the boxes in the Lego aisle today, and noticed that on one of them it shows a picture of the island, but it also shows the tapered BOTTOM of the island, as if it were floating.. so if it IS a part of him, then like what, it connects to a larger hunk of earth beneath it?
