I wonder how far Karda Nui extends... could it be going all the way under him? That'd explain the vastness of the cave.

I'm just curious about the other not-submerged body parts.

EDIT: Oh, and thanks, Ariana ^_^ Jinzo, that's just one of the stalactites in Karda Nui... though it does look like an island. =P

Well he's lying on something in that picture. I would say it's Karda Nui.

Here's what I've gathered:

Metru Nui: Head (Duh)

Xia: Left forearm?

Stelt: Left upper arm?

Karzahni: Neck?

Zakaz: Near the top of the torso?

Northern Continent: Main upper torso?

Southern Continent: Main lower torso?

Artidax: Somewhere in the legs?

Only problem with that is the location of the Pit, which is north of the northern continents -- Voya Nui floated above the pit, but was described as being 'far south of Mata Nui', I believe... wouldn't really fit. But still... dunno.

Then again, it COULD work if Voya Nui isn't that big...

I don't remember the Pit being north of the northern continent... I thought it was just north of the southern continent.

In any case, a lot of this theory probably hinges on Greg not paying attention to where everything is.

Your welcome Ikki. If you can still find the video or screened where the 'eyes' light up you can see all the islands. I suggest that you check the entries for each of the islands at the Bionicle Wikia. Might help decipher the image.

Greg has said constantly that Metru-Nui is THE Northernmost landmass in the Matoran Universe.

Which means everything else is further south.

The Pit was originally in a dome, right? And Mahri-Nui landed on top of it's dome, breaking it, letting the flooding water in, right?

Posted

The Pit was in a dome, but it just flooded because of the Great Cataclysm. Mahri Nui broke off about three hundred years after the Pit was flooded.

Here's some random crap I asked Greg...

1a) There's a northern continent that's similar to the southern continent, right? I'm not sure.

1a) Yes.

Wewt.

1b) If so, where is the northern continent in relation to Metru Nui? Are their domes connected, or near each other at least? Or far apart? Since Metru Nui is the northernmost island.

1b) South of Metru Nui. Nothing is north of Metru Nui. And they are a ways apart.

So there's a bunch of islands between the two... so... the northern continent is the middle section of the body? And there's a bunch of islands that make up the top half?

2) Where is the Pit in relation to the northern continent?

2) South of it.

Vague, but, take that Ikki!

3) How big are the northern and southern continents, roughly speaking?

3) South is bigger than north.

Why? XD

4) Since Karda Nui is so big, does it extend underneath all the domes, like how the Archives extend under all of Metru Nui, not just Onu-Metru?

4) No, it doesn't.

Probably not under the ends of the arms then.

5) Are there islands very far south of the southern continent? I figured that they only called it the southern continent because there's a northern continent, and that there's a bunch of islands still south of it. But that's just a guess on my part -- I'd like confirmation.

5) There are largely unexplored islands to the far south.

Legs. Yup.

6) Can you confirm that the humanoid shape on the Kanohi Ignika is in the shape of the Great Spirit Mata Nui?

6) Yes.

That helps.

Good thing I saved that big pic on my computer.

Oh, you can still find the video un Youtube.

But yeah, I LOVE this whole thing about Mata Nui. According to Greg, he's a humanoid figure (like the one on the Ignika) and he's a lot bigger than Tren Krom. Everything fits. That picture is definitely worthy of a god! :sweet:

My entire folder with those pics were deleted, incinerating a dozen other pics in the process. Guess that's what I get for being persistent. No more uploadin' from me!

And awesome answers, Clonie, though Greg seems indecisive about the Pit's location. Lookie 'ere -- http://www.bzpower.com/forum/index.php?sho...t&p=5355234

Oh well, I'll just go with his latest answer and say in between the northern and southern continents!

New bit of interesting news, in case anybody hasn't noticed it on BZP (with this video breakthrough and all occupying your attentions spans  )

Apparently, the ancient curse of the Makuta is arrogance, pride, etc, those personality traits that curse them never to be satisfied with what they have and what made them attempt, in the first place, to do something as massive as trying to overthrow Mata Nui himself.

Some on BZP are complaining, saying it's a weak curse, anticlimactic, etc, but I actually think its cool. I was never one for prophecies or curses, they are a little far-fetched for my tastes, so having the curse be a metaphorical one, in a sense, is a neat thing. Plus, you know, this could have been a doom if the plan to overthrow Mata Nui had failed. It goes it with the Mata Nui=huge information (giant fist go BOOM!)

Wha? How'd you ever get into Bionicle then?

Good point. I should revise that statement, to say that it depends on the prophecy. I mean story-spoiling prophecies, like in Eragon where we already KNOW that he's going to have to leave forever or Harry Potter where we know that one is gonna have to kill the other (that one was more of a "duh"). Stuff like that. The only prophecy I recall in BIONICLE is the coming of the Toa, which we really only found out about after the Toa had already landed. There's a difference I think between mystical prophecies and prophecies prophecized by some nutjob lady in a hut.

In any case, there are hundreds of other things that drew people to BIONICLE in 01, like the photo of Kopaka on his canister. (Yep, that's what got me into it!)

I like the curse a lot... It's fable-like and 2001-ish.

I think in the quote you linked to, Greg just couldn't be damned to correct it.

Wow, but my picture of Mata Nui (actually, just screenshot of this video YouTube page) wasn't deleted. And I put it into my Mistika folder)) Maybe I just was fast to do it before fact of this video's appearing captured LEGO full attention?

i was thinking should we start a petion to not buy the toa mistaker? i think that would be a good thing to prevent lego doing the same thing

What if I like them? What if other people like them? They're obviously going to sell, which = people like them. They need to listen to the majority.
