Tyranide Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 Ahh, thats what I thought it was :)Too bad, cuz that MoC looks kinda cool. Many MoCs looks cool... But I discovered strange thing. Many pictures if new sets (for example, Impulse and Castle on main page) are from catalogue that we saw. So... why these people can't photo Phantoka? Quote

Shakar Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 An amazing visual convulsion, N00b bait, with special Galidor arm! :-| Seriously, why can't Lego make something like this? Shakar Quote
Ikki o' Moopyville Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 (edited) Because - a) it has no guns b) it is too complicated c) it lacks funky colors It would never sell. :-D -Ikk Edited October 6, 2007 by Ikki o' Moopyville Quote

Zaktan of the Shadows Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 (edited) The new Bionicle looks awesome! The Matoran are very cool, and the Toa Nuva look awesome. *wub* I love them. Espeacially Lewa. Kopaka is really cool too. Toa Ignika is awesome!!!!!!! The Phantoka rock too, I like all of them except for Vamprah.. who looks a little too small. -ZotS Edited October 6, 2007 by Zaktan of the Shadows Quote
Wobo Ihi Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 (edited) Interesting. The 2008 sets so far seems better than those of this year. Edited October 6, 2007 by Wobo Ihi Quote
Shine Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 Strange, it seems the Matoran(?) have only nine points of articulation. Oh well, looks to be a horrible year for sets, but a great year for MOCing parts. Quote

Asuka Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 These new, ahem, shooting balls for their chests with those wee spidy robot things inside.... 8-| A very nice science fiction idea, could be useable for MOCing too. *y* Quote
Shine Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 I would like to ask why. The Toa Nuva look very well built.-ZotS Horrible proportions and weapons(except for Lewa's sword), as well as the normal obscene amount of silver and bley. Quote
Shine Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 Well, I think this is very cool. :-)Which one? Quote

Horrible proportions and weapons(except for Lewa's sword), as well as the normal obscene amount of silver and bley. I only agree with the last part. I don't like how there is too much bley. -ZotS Quote
TSO Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 Which one? http://www.kostky.org/forum/index.php?topi...g69838#msg69838 This post. Bionicle&Exo-Force. Above them there're Indiana, Castle, etc. Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 Thats what we have been talking about. *sweet* -ZotS Quote
Darkness Falls Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 Truly a battle in the sky. The first spread is quite possibly the best thing I've seen since 2003. The characters have no "I'm Badass" grin on their face, but heralds that are nothing without them. The Phantoka are not creatures of gangster-esque look or aquatic nightmares, but seem, well, creepy. Each has a unique build and awesome wings. Chirox looks fantastic, as does Antroz. Vamprah is the only set of the bunch I'm hesitant about. As for the Toa Nuva... wow. Faithful representations for an updated look. Kopaka looks great! Pohatu may be different colored, but his stocky build is reminiscent of the old, and his mask does remind me of the 2001 look. I can't wait. Quote
optimus-convoy Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 They definitely seem better than this years canister fair. The villains seem alright; menacing but not over the top, marble launcher chests. Not too exiting though. The Toa Nuva have me more interested though. They seem like stable figures on their own. As far as the homages go, these are alright, but without the names attached or knowing who they're supposed to be, I wouldn't guess them to be our "beloved" Nuva. That being said, I'll probably get some of these, most likely Pohatu with his heli/claw arms. Quote
Axonn's Fury Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 I can't decide about this or not, I mean, the Toa Nuva should have been normal, like the originals just with more pa-zaz. Quote
Clonie Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 Yaay. Well, I'll start with the Matoran. I like Tanma a lot. The mask looks like a cross between a Kaukau Nuva and a Noble Kiril. Probably second is Photok, then Solek. What can I say, they're basically the same. Anyway, then there's the other three. Apparently they attach to the three Makuta. Maybe they're infected? Maybe that's what the things in the Trydax spheres do. Anyway, those three look kinda weird. I prefer the 'good' ones. Next is the Nuva. I like them, but the use of Inika armour is extremely annoying. These guys are even less proportoinate than the Inika, which is saying something. Oh well, they'll be fun. Pohatu looks wicked in that first pic. Well, they all do. I wonder if the Midak spheres hold anything. Now the Makuta. Wow. Well, I like two. Vamprah looks like a tranny. But the other two kick rear. Well that's about all I have to say on the matter, but I like the idea of Trydax pods deploying shadow leeches. Toa Ignika. He's cool. I like that surfboard thing. Overall, I like this series. It would appear that all the Toa have flight mechanisms. Kopaka's wings, Lewa's boosters, Pohatu's spinnies. Who else thinks the first page rocks? The Ignika graphic is awesome, and I can't wait to have that mask in my hands. Quote
Ikki o' Moopyville Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 (edited) ... They DID change the socket joint thingy. That's just.. no. No, no, no, no. What the HECK are they thinking?! I like the Matoran, the Nuva are somewhat nice... don't care much for the rest. Socket joint thingies. :'-( Does LEGO hate MOCers or something? -Ikk Edited October 7, 2007 by Ikki o' Moopyville Quote

I think pieces still can be attached to socket joint's sides. Like in Chinese bootlegs. And, well, only I think that Vamprah's face is female? Quote
Ikki o' Moopyville Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 (edited) It's the inconsistency. It seems to be LEGO's new trademark. *wacko* EDIT: Yay... Citizen. :-P -Ikk Edited October 7, 2007 by Ikki o' Moopyville Quote
