Zusammengebaut Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Hello, At the Skærbæk Fan Weekend 2015 last weekend, I had the great opportunity, to do an interview with Jamie Berard, Design Manager Specialist Lego Creator Expert. Jamie has created such great models like the Ferris Wheel or the Parisian Restaurant – and many more during the last ten years he works at Lego. Best wishes Andres Quote
x105Black Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Very interesting interview, thanks for sharing! One thing that caught my attention: He says that part of the idea behind the Creator Expert Modular Building series was a fan desire for more Castle sets and building techniques. So they took the idea of the building techniques, but abandoned everything Castle. I'd really love for them to make more Castle products, and if they did them to this scale, it would be the most fantastic thing LEGO has ever done. I hope that they understand that there is an audience for this type of construction outside of the City / Town setting, and an avid (rabid) fanbase in the Castle setting. Quote
Sven F Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Thanks for that. When he says every line goes year by year, I hope that doesn't mean it takes only one floppy set to retire the whole theme. I'd be interested to know why the modular minifigs all have the classic smiley faces. Quote

I don't know why TLG has neglected his castle fan base for so much years now. A modular castle village or fortress would be so amazing ! I'd buy it without thinking. Quote
