My city fans, with the excitment of all these new pics I wonder why we have nothing to feast our eyes so I went looking online and found that horrible and tiny pic of that cargo plane on www.imperiumdersteine.de.

Enjoy (if thats the appropriate word !!)

What a piece of junk !! Everything is horrible in that set !!

* the colour pattern is just :-X

* And I thought the previous planes were oversized !! That baby looks even bigger !! Oh boy how I dislike that hull

* Its a modern hull with old propellers, I think thats a designer flaw IMO !!

* Only the small things look nice |-/

IMO, its a defite waste of space and money !! And I hope the rest of the city line looks way better than that !!

That's almost as big a disaster as your avatar! ;-)

It really is a terrible design and the colours pretty much tell us that it isn't going to be associated with any of the major carriers. It almost looks like a flying garbage truck to me, for some silly reason.

What a piece of junk ... Hey, she'll make .5 past, oh who am I kidding, she is a piece of junk. :-$

Not the best is she..... It's far to bulky and well just plain ugly looking. It's a shame that it's so big, if it was smaller it might look better.

Great find *yoda* ! Thanks! I think it is the same nose, wing and tail as the last plane, the same plane that I am struggling to find a good use for because it really is too big. I think I will just convert the one I have! X-D Does this mean someone has scanned the whole retail catalog, or is it just the cover?

Are you talking about the Bionicle or the cargo plane :-P

Found it on the website that gave us the news of the Indy and SW pics ;-) I haven't seen more in there if not I'm sure it would have been posted but its clearly something to look for in the upcomming days ;-)

I really dislike those Hulls !! They are so <insert that tiresome argument> its just :-X

Actually I think its comical that a lot of members find the new trolls MBish, but not complain as vigourusly regarding those playmobilish planes *wacko* :-D

Sad to say I agree. It is hard to use an 8 wide tube, especially the nose and tail pieces. The wing is even worse. I often regret buying mine.

Often you say ??

OK I am not happy with the smaller one with the aiport, but why on Earth did I buy the crappy big one ?? What was I thinking *wacko*

Anyway, I will totally boycot those huge plamobilish planes !!

O sure hope the rest of the city line is as good as SW and Castle, if not I'll be pissed :-P

I never bought the airport as I thought it was too small for the plane! :-D I think I wanted the plane as someone posted pictures of it with Clones in it...

...and I thought it looked so funny I had to have it! :-|

What looks funny is having our dear clone pilot relaxing in the back seat as if he were on strike X-D Isn't he French or Italien ??

That thing would overshadow my whole town! It'd be like a B-52 bomber.

I had a rant a few months back about the "embiggening" (to borrow a word from the Simpsons) of the City line. The new airplanes, the new cargo ship, even the six-wide vehicles ... everything is getting bigger. The scale is all out of whack with the traditional, classic City scale.

It's frustrating, because City is enjoying a great revival in the past 2-3 years, but these monstrous planes and ships just don't have any appeal to me because they don't "fit" with the rest of my collection.

Agree with all above. These big <insert that tiresome argument> planes have no future in my collection. I have to say the airport set was nice EXCEPT for the useless plane.

Errr... I actually like the plane 8-| :-$

As well as the previous ones, the 'passenger plane' and the one that comes with the airport...

And i'm definetely gonna buy this one :'-)

I guess I'm the only one who really quite likes it?

Someone made the point about a modern hull with old style propelers; there are actually lots of planes out there that are like that, just look at the C-130 Hercules.

In addition, on closer inspection of the picture it looks like it comes with quite a few extras. It seems to come with an updated set of steps to get to the door, as well as a little car. Round the back it also looks like there is a loading lift for it, that seems to extend far enough up to reach the swing door which is really cool.

Granted, I think it uses the same wings, nose and tail as the Passenger Plane too (It's not Duplo; you can see that by looking at the classic LEGO barriers ontop of the stairs), but I don't think it's too bad. I don't have a particular problem against them. (Except maybe the wings).

The colour scheme could be better, but I don't think it's terrible. It seems like TLC is making a new cargo company for Lego City, it has the same colour scheme as this years Heavy Hauler. I also think the new Large Truck and Crane is also going to have the same colour scheme.

I'll be buying it. :-)

If I could hang it up above my city I would buy it but otherwise no this is n on my city list, shame I quite like the colour scheme.

The little car and other things look nice though. I liked the blue plane but it was way to big and <insert that tiresome argument> and at the moment I cant find anywhere to place it.

Thanks for finding the pic anyway Yoda! ;-) *yoda*

Hard to tell much from the pic, but from what I can see it looks decent. I'm not that big on the planes/airports generally, but since I just bought the airport I'll probably end up getting this one as well.

No, you're not. I'm backing you up.

I too, like this plane, and it might even be a catalyst for me getting the passenger plane as well (but not the airport), to hang them from the roof, when time and space allows it.

I was actually expecting something along the lines of a super-guppy freighter, so seeing LEGO stick to the "standard" pieces is a pleasant sight. The acessories the plane seems to come with seems nice as well, and the amount of wheels clearly indicates that this is an air-freighter.

I haven't decided yet, but there's a chance I might actually start with the airport-theme this time.

I like it too. Can't wait to see better pics. I like the more realistic plane, even if the parts are "<insert that tiresome argument>." I couldn't stand the old planes that were four-wide! :-X

New plane (playmobil <insert that tiresome argument> or not) ON! *wub*

I agree Hinckley the 4-wide planes where rediculously small! (I use them as private jets now).

I reckon this set will have alot of cool play features, because there is an awful lot of space inside and because there arn't any seats (cargo planes dont have seats do they).

I'm hoping a little car to put inside but this probably wont happen.

This seemed promising, but turned out to be very dissappointing. Thanks for the pic anyway. :'-(
