October 9, 20159 yr I like this MOC more and more... However, would it be possible to show us the steering mechanism, please? ;)
October 9, 20159 yr Interesting idea. Nice use of baloon wheels and I like you rear suspension with links.
October 9, 20159 yr Author maybe you could try to make it red or blue i case you would change the black, because most of the civil tatras that i have seen are of that color, also, nice work with all the functions, the transmission is amazing, its better than i could expect, and so far it looks very good, looking forward for more progress and good luck. At this moment its dark bluis grey, and thank you. The cab is almost done and I will post the ldd file of the front axle in a hour or so
October 9, 20159 yr Author Here's the LDD file for the front axle for the 4x4 or the 6x6 version. Tatra Front Axle.lxf Here is another prototype I'm working on for a 8x8 version Tatra Suspension 8x8 Setup.lxf Edited October 9, 20159 yr by legotechnicus
October 9, 20159 yr That looks like a really sturdy axle! I see you used realistic steering solution. Well done, realistic but not really meant to be driven by motor, right?
October 9, 20159 yr Thank you for sharing theese great axles! However, I do not see the possibility of different steering angles in 8x8 setup.
October 9, 20159 yr Thank you for sharing theese great axles! However, I do not see the possibility of different steering angles in 8x8 setup. You can easily have different steering angles, just use a longer steering arm!
October 9, 20159 yr Author Thank you for sharing theese great axles! However, I do not see the possibility of different steering angles in 8x8 setup. I'm thinking of a way to integrate that. already have a idea. You can easily have different steering angles, just use a longer steering arm! thats one way to do it
October 9, 20159 yr You can easily have different steering angles, just use a longer steering arm! I know. That's probably the simpliest way here. :) However, then the wheels would not be aligned in theoretically (while not calculating with loose parts) perfect parallel position. (I do not say, that my Tatras had them aligned :D )
October 9, 20159 yr Author Update on the cab, it has a face now What do you guys think? (Crane is of the truck because I'm finishing it).
October 9, 20159 yr Aaahhh beautiful... So it's T815-7... looks like military version in this color... I like it very much !!! :*** Max... Edited October 9, 20159 yr by MaxSupercars
October 10, 20159 yr Very well done buddy, you really getting the feel of this sort of truck/vehicle!!! Great, great, great, keep it up!!! And keep us updated...
October 10, 20159 yr legotechnicus, can you make a photo of front axle from side without the baloon wheel? Did you use any shock absorbers in front or how do you suspend the front axle? Thx... Max...
October 11, 20159 yr legotechnicus, can you make a photo of front axle from side without the baloon wheel? Did you use any shock absorbers in front or how do you suspend the front axle? Thx... Max... +1
October 11, 20159 yr Author legotechnicus, can you make a photo of front axle from side without the baloon wheel? Did you use any shock absorbers in front or how do you suspend the front axle? Thx... Max... At this point I'm still not happy with the front suspension. It uses one shock absorber combined with a pendular setup. Will keep you guys update if anything has modified.
October 11, 20159 yr OK... that was the reason... because I have seen your LDD of front axle... Solution looks very good but I'm curious how do you connect something that suspend it... Thank you... Max...
October 15, 20159 yr Author Hi guys, I'm sorry for not posting anything lately but it has been a bit busy. I made a final (i hope) cab for the truck with the right color. Still a bit struggling with the crane but its almost done. What do you guys think? Red or not?
October 15, 20159 yr Red cab is great, althoug I liked it in DBG as well. It looks very good overall, it reminds on the 8460 mobile crane - still a sweatheart of mine . Fantastic idea to use steering wheels on ball pins/joints for the feet of the outrigers! Good job so far!
October 15, 20159 yr Legotechnicus, it looks great! but I want the DBG military version back! :D Did you solved the front suspension and steering? Max...

Thanks, yeah I was just messing around with some parts and it worked haha Legotechnicus, it looks great! but I want the DBG military version back! :D Did you solved the front suspension and steering? Max... I agree on the color, its back to DBG. No still running the same setup as before, still haven't fixed it
October 15, 20159 yr I really really like this build of yours!!! Great concept, nice colors and full of functions...well done buddy!
October 15, 20159 yr Really nice. How about lifting superstructure up a bit? It looks like it is too close to the rear tires.
October 15, 20159 yr Really nice. How about lifting superstructure up a bit? It looks like it is too close to the rear tires. Yes... legotechnicus you should do it... I also looked at your first image with blue Tatra 815 and there is superstructure higher and boom fits nicely horizontally... Max... Edited October 16, 20159 yr by MaxSupercars
