lucky for us you made model based on 49.5 tires, for model with Unimog tires you would need license for handling a weapon...

one simple question - did you try to use wedge belt wheel to"cover" those unpleasant spokes?

hm, the unpleasant spokes are looking a bit like Trilex rims which are often used on old us trucks

I understand. this way it looks more authentic to some Kenworth K100 models if spokes are visible, but this model has "holes" in front wheel, hm?

When you compare this image and concentrate on mudguards I say that shape is very good. Whole cab is very smooth

In 70s this was mostly common design or fully chrome wheels which were much more expensive, so I doubt that fire departments were spending money on shiny wheels. Functionality was important and cost control of course...

...just one question, do you have a blueprint ore something with two mudguards an front wheels? All I can find on Internet are like this; just one long mudguard for both wheels (something like rear mudguard on Arocs) at the front and not two one

Honestly my friend, the look is GREAT!!! 

If you like single mudguards then I see no problem, just did not find such models on Internet (Ok I did not look for more that half an hour or something like that)

I like the studfull cab a lot more that the studless. Blends in perfectly with the red outtriggers. Beautiful work!!

This is so awesome, your build inspired me in a lot of ways, I like the rear axle with suspension most and used that design in my current moc. I don't have enough parts for your build atm but I will surely build it in future.
