Edwin Korstanje Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Looks great so far and smart solution off the new parts for lifting the boom  Quote
Imanol BB Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 interesting use of the new parts, how strong they are? Quote
efferman Posted October 13, 2015 Author Posted October 13, 2015 i think the rope is the limiting factor Quote
Zerobricks Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Awesome use of the new sliding parts and new-ish wheels! I need to get some of those... Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Curious how this work, it makes sense though!!! Quote
Edwin Korstanje Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Wow, that's a fast and great progress  Quote
Imanol BB Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 (edited) oh my, that crane its really huge, but actually it seems very stable, those outriggers work very well, cant wait to see the video of the working crane. Edited October 15, 2015 by ImanolBB Quote
Kiwi_Builder Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Very nice superstructure, that boom looks great. The whole colour scheme works really well. Good to see your project coming together nicely and quickly. Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Excellent so far and you are pretty fast buddy...! Very nice superstructure, that boom looks great. The whole colour scheme works really well. Good to see your project coming together nicely and quickly. I have to agree!!! Quote
Milan Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Quick build! And looking better and better with each update. Quote
Kman860 Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Quick build! And looking better and better with each update. +1 Quote
jono rocky Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 This is coming along really great. The boom looks quite strong. Would you be testing it when you have finished building to see what it can lift? Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Took a closer look and like to tell you that this really is going to be a very nice build! Colors are nice indeed, the use of parts is as always amazingly well done and love the concept of it. The concept of having a truck with a crane instead of "just" a crane. This truck you could optionally use for other applications as well... Also like the use of those "cut-off" panels, it really gives shape to the superstructure fast, easily and light in weight! Quote
Kristof Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Your progress is amazingly fast and somehow errorless, which is even cooler. It almost makes me think that your brain generates some building guide on the go, which you can follow :D Especially due to it's smaller size / bunch of features combo, this is on it's way to be my favorite entry! efferman Posted October 16, 2015 Author Posted October 16, 2015 (edited) Be sure, myself is making errors too. But the lifting of the boom works even with a M motor Edited October 16, 2015 by efferman Quote
zweihander Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 I really like how good this is turning out to be. Quote
MaxSupercars Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Hmm that looks really good Effe... I like it... :) Do you make also a short trailer for the long boom? Max... Quote
Henkl Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Hallo Efferman, that is a nice use for the new parts. Like the Kenworth and the crane but hope that you do a rebuild after the contest to make it a wrecker. Quote
efferman Posted October 16, 2015 Author Posted October 16, 2015 Max, no it will lay over the cab btw, i have two problems. The 42009 Rope is to short. are third party ropes allowed? and my chassis is to short...or the cab is to long. Quote
Kristof Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 It's quite strange how much does the boom stick out to the front. Does any real crane have it like that? I ca imagine it might be quite impractical for driving. Quote
efferman Posted October 16, 2015 Author Posted October 16, 2015 (edited) i think it is ok and i have to extend the chassis to be able to rotate the superstructure. if this is done it will be not so extreme source Edited October 16, 2015 by efferman Quote
Milan Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Effe, boom is just fine, over the cab like that. Even if you do not extend the chassis. 3rd party strings are allowed. Go for it. Quote
