TheItalianBrick Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Although I would prefer a european cab this is going well, so far my favorite one!! Super cool effe! You rule!!! have you tired to use the square battery box? just to reduce a bit the space taken by that battery box…. (yeah I know it adds counterweight but you could use the square box with the 6 battery inside!) Quote

Kristof Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 i think it is ok and i have to extend the chassis to be able to rotate the superstructure. if this is done it will be not so extreme Alright, my bad. I have never met crane like this one before :) My comment was only based on my perception, zero knowledge or experience. Quote
efferman Posted October 17, 2015 Author Posted October 17, 2015 (edited) no problem. the uppercarriage is almost done some interior Edited October 17, 2015 by efferman Quote
Milan Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Looking awesome! Shape of the superstructure is very nice. I dont like the overall colors at the end, though. While red and white works very well here, I think that outriggers may be a bit too mych, regarding mix of those two colors. I know that should represent danger stripes, but i feel like outriggers should be solid color, like black, just to break it a little bit. I think it should look much better. Once again, great model! Waiting for a video! Quote
Kristof Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 I know already that I WILL beg you for some instructions for this. I never desired for a technic model as much as I do for this :D Quote
efferman Posted October 17, 2015 Author Posted October 17, 2015 The outriggers will dont have white in the final version. look on the right one Quote
Rishab N Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 (edited) It looks amazing and definitely has my vote. The only thing I don't like is the exposed L motors on the sides Edited October 17, 2015 by Rishab N Quote
Kristof Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 ^ I guess there are some covers to be done in that section. Quote

2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Personally I do not really like the counter weight/rear section of the "rotator". Off course it is yours so don't bother what I think... Quote

I kind of agree...I think it's ok, but would look better all red Quote
efferman Posted October 18, 2015 Author Posted October 18, 2015 it seems we all dont like the bulky end of the uppercarriage, so i have made some changes to save space. Quote
PeterF Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 So will you shorten the chassis again? ;-) Looks great. I really like the scale and have been looking at something similar myself since these tyres became available. Quote
TheItalianBrick Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Much abetter effe! the only thing I would say the cabin on the superstructure looks a bit too big….specially if you compare it to the cabin of the truck itself! Quote
efferman Posted October 18, 2015 Author Posted October 18, 2015 now it is much less bulky. @italian Brick i will try something no, the chassis length is not changed yet. one of the next steps will be to fit the receivers and the batterybox into the cab and the i will see how long the cab and the chassis has to be. Kman860 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 I think with the revisions, it actually looks really good in red and white now Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Agree with the other comments!!! This looks much more realistic, it has a superstructure and it has a counter weight...well done!!! Very impressive how fast you improve such a build... Quote
Samolot Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 This is amazing model, i like tight and clean design. I hope to build something like that, someday. Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 (edited) I like the look of this crane Efferman, that is a interesting use for those new gear-rack brackets. Edited October 20, 2015 by Alasdair Ryan Quote
