Future Castle Sets?

Promobricks has also said that there will be a Fantasy Forest Creatures 3-in-1 set. What creatures they will be hasn’t been revealed, but hopefully at least one build will be minifigure scaled, e.g. a giant or troll.

Promobricks’ leaks are almost always right.

The forest mythical creatures are not as fabulous as the name may convey. It is simply a purple owl and a reddish-brown hedgehog. As an accessory there is a built book. Alternatively, a deer with a rabbit (Bambi sends greetings) or a squirrel with nut can be built from the stones. The 175 stones cost 14.99 euros and also appear in March.

My guess would be mid summer like the Pirate and Castle 3 in 1 sets and where the North American markets need to wait an additional 2 months.

@AmperZand *Sigh. I completely agree with you. When I saw the title of the set, I hoped for something related to Legoland Mythica (but, of course, with less detailed builds). Such as, at least, the unicorn...

Yeah, I think the most we can hope to get from a Creator 3 in 1set is a useful torso or maybe 2, and possibly a useful piece of headgear. And that anything like that is available for sale at lego's bricks and pieces.Other than that, 3 in 1 sets tend to be fairly basic bricks that can be rebuilt into completely different things, so no hope for larger specific parts.

When I heard the news about the news of a Viking ship I was super hyped, but after hearing it is Creator 3 in 1, I kind of lost hope in it. I am willing to bet the figures are going to be super simplistic and at least one of them will probably be the same pirate guy from the 3 in 1 Castle set. Best case scenario, they re-use the torso print from the CMF viking, but there is no way they are going to include the specialized helmet mold.

If the Viking ship has enough brown-ish parts, I do hope for at least 1 house/fortress wall type of build.

As for sails, probably brick built and typically the most common depicted pattern are red/white stripes (actually kind of prefer darkred stripe as it might look better in the other builds)

3rd build could be a surprise like a Fenrir wolf build (set 7015 reference / Norse mythology)

I realize there is a sort of “Billund Bubble” but they can’t be that out of touch to stick another pirate in there, right?  They’ve got the one Viking minifig available, I guess they can use some CMF generic green knight or something along those lines and make it work as another character.

Regarding the builds, I’m guessing they’ll have small fortress/building and probably a siege weapon of some kind against another beast like animal.  I’ll be optimistic since I really liked the 3 in 1 castle and believe they’ll do a good job with this one.

I'd hope they try to do Grendel attacking the Mead Hall from Beowulf.

I was hoping Viking Ship, Medeval Castle and Pirate Ship were not Creator 3-in-1 sets. I would LOVE to build some highly detailed sets and displaying them. 

I mean Viking longship is really expensive in the secondary market and I’m not a fan of Creatore 3-in-1 sets myself.

I hope we get a solid colour version of the helmet for the latest viking CMF (I.e. without the gold print). Having that mould available and not making use of it (for what may be one of the few chances to do that) would seem a strange choice.

3-in-1 Doesn't automaticly mean no new parts/prints. 

As of now, the blue Pirate Captain torso is still unique to 31109 Pirate Ship. 

Also it's too early to rule out the Viking IDEAS submission (even while it's part of a very big 57 submissions 1st review of 2021) perhaps bringing parts wider available like how Blacksmith made Falcon parts available for 3-in-1.

Both sets might be ships, but so were the Pirate Ship IDEAS and 3-in-1s, 3-in-1 being more focused on brick built and alternate builds, IDEAS could have a different focus like more figures or shields etc.

It shouldn't. New printed torsos are ridiculously cheap, regardless of what self-appointed Lego PR peddlers will tell you.

I think they're talking about the blue and white striped pirate shirt that also came with the castle in your avatar pic. Which was a majorly avaricious decision on Lego's part.

I agree that blue-white striped "pirate" torso doesn't really fit in that set, but on the other hand, I can imagine IDEAS and 3-in-1 having some overlap, and technically LEGO did pick all 3 torsos in the 31120 Castle from IDEAS sets , Striped Torso from Barracuda Bay, and then Black Falcon Torso/Leg/Shield from Blacksmith.

At least that overlap between IDEAS Pirates/Castle torsos with 3-in-1 seems to be some design decision when LEGO decided to do "Classic" themes in Creator 3-in-1. 

That's also why I think it's pretty curious to see a 3-in-1 Viking Ship appear when there's currently one up for vote in the IDEAS 2021 round 1 expected in like 2 weeks from now (last year was 30th of september)

It might also depend on where it is made (which factory). Some of the CMF parts never seem to show up in regular sets.

We also appear to be getting another CMF series in a couple of months which might make something available for the Viking 3 in 1 set.

And I’ll continue to say that Lego missed their chance at ideas/creator collaboration with rejecting the Viking Village Ideas set.  Big missed opportunity when they have a 3 in 1 set coming.

Another round of Lego Ideas submissions about to hit the chopping block tomorrow.  Any chance one of the dozen or so medieval/historical submissions makes it into a real set?
 

My Ideas pessimism says we get none…probably a book end and an instrument.  That Snow White set has some good possibilities with the dwarves’ torsos…

I doubt we'll get another castle like set through ideas this time, or next time, or the time after. I hope they don't do an instrument either. Piano, guitar, ... they don't need ideas to suggest instruments.

What I hate about the Creator 3 in 1 sets is the lack of mini figures, 99.99 for only 3 when they used to give us like 6-8 for that price point back then and the overuse of the small pieces to make up a higher count I guess.

I agree on both accounts, @eldiano.  The non-figure piece count and selection that set is terrific.  At least the Ideas Blacksmith came with a bunch of accessories (and a horse).  It'd be easier to accept these less-than-ideal part if we had more than two medieval sets to choose from in the past few years!

The pirate torso in the castle set is just lazy and lackluster.
