sorry if this is a pit off topic, but while we are talking about part combos, these are my 13 doctors, all using unique parts in LDD that are available in real life.

NOTE: The 12th doctor does require some arm swapping from the original color to tan. also, if you like flesh heads, your out of luck! I also used a dark blue light-saber hilt for 13, with a trans-yellow jewel for his new sonic.

Does this help anybody?

I think the prints for the costumes alone would attract a lot of minifig customizers, like you mentioned. Not to mention LEGO could make a lot of the figures out of existing parts, so that's less they have to pay for new molds.

EDIT: Here, this is how I see a minifig series working:

1st Doctor with Sonic Screwdriver v1- smiling and stern face prints, new mold Sonic, LEGO Dimensions printing

2nd Doctor with Sonic Screwdriver v1- happy and stern face prints, same Sonic as 1st Doctor, LEGO Dimensions body printing

3rd Doctor with Sonic Screwdriver v2- happy and stern face prints, second new mold Sonic , LEGO Dimensions body printing

4th Doctor with Sonic Screwdriver v2- closed-mouth smiling and open-mouth smiling face prints, new mold hat/hair, new mold scarf, same sonic as 3rd Doctor but with different deco, LEGO Dimensions body printing

5th Doctor with Sonic Screwdriver v2- smiling and glasses face prints, same Sonic as 3rd and 4th Doctors, LEGO Dimensions body printing

6th Doctor with Rainbow Umbrella- angry and calm face prints, LEGO Dimensions body printing

7th Doctor with Question Mark umbrella- smiling and frowning face prints, new mold hat/hair piece and new mold umbrella handle, LEGO Dimensions body printing

8th Doctor with Sonic Screwdriver v2- smiling and frowning face prints, same sonic as 3rd, 4th and 5th Doctors, LEGO Dimensions body printing

War Doctor with Sonic Screwdriver v1- smiling and frowning face prints, same sonic as 1st and 2nd Doctors with different deco, LEGO Dimensions body printing

9th Doctor with Sonic Screwdriver v3 and psychic paper- smiling and frowning face prints, psychic paper is printed 1x1 tile, new mold hair/forehead piece, new mold Sonic, LEGO Dimensions body printing

10th Doctor with Sonic Screwdriver v3- smiling and 3D glasses face prints, same sonic as 9th Doctor, LEGO Dimensions body printing

11th Doctor with Sonic Screwdriver v4 and mop- same faces as Ideas figure, same sonic as Ideas/Dimensions 12th Doctor, new print series 7B outfit

12th Doctor with Sonic Screwdriver v4- new smiling and frowning face prints, same sonic and hairpiece as Ideas/Dimensions figure, new print unbuttoned series 8/9 outfit

Clara Oswald- new print face, new mold hairpiece, new print outfit [Possibly replace her with an enemy such as the Silence or Weeping Angel variants?]

Cyberman- same as Dimensions Cyberman but with additional arm printing

Zygon- new mold head/body “sandwich” piece, uses Dimensions design

You forgot that One never used a Sonic, but other than that the ideas are really good! I like it!

The other thing I would like to mention is that the War Doctor had a different Sonic than the 2nd Doctor. Also the Fourth Doctor and the Fifth Doctor have the same Sonic which is different than the model used by the Third Doctor.

If they did a CMF series, it might be 18 like Disney. So, keep that list but add 2 more. Possibly the Weeping Angel variant and Silence like you suggested. We already have a Clara, so I'd suspect they'd have the new companion instead, and 12's new sonic.

I don't think they will have a companion, but hopefully they will add a Silence minifigure and a Zygon.

Thanks for the feedback! Haven't seen much of the 1st Doctor admittedly so I was going by the Character Building figure, who does come with a sonic. Now that I think about it he should come with a walking stick/cane instead.

And I do know that the War Doctor's sonic is different, but I thought it was similar enough that it could be re-used (the prop is actually a 3rd/4th Doctor screwdriver with a different emitter head). I was going for minimal new pieces since I'm not sure if LEGO would want to have as many new arts in this series as a normal one. On that note, according to my research the 3rd and 4th Doctor Sonics are the same design but with slightly different decos, but I could be wrong.

I also second the idea of bumping the series up to 18 minifigs. I'd really like them to add the new companion, Bill. Not sure what accessory would work for her but I think she's about need a new hair mold. Heck, I'd take a second wave of companions an enemies.

So I've been trying to figure out why we haven't seen anything about a Doctor Who theme or minifigure set or anything along those lines. It finally occurred to me that with us in the middle of a wilderness year, it doesn't make sense to put anything out. There's no new episodes to support the line right now. But I can see a new line coming as we get into the beginning of next, and new episodes are about to air.

I could see them doing a one-off D2C set as with Ghostbusters. Maybe the 10th Doctor's TARDIS interior.

I don't think we'll be seeing more sets until next year at the earliest, since whether the series gets more sets was going to be based on how well the Ideas and Dimensions sets sell.

It probably won't happen, but I'd totally buy a UCS set that was just a TARDIS, the remaining Doctor that we haven't gotten, and a bunch of TARDIS interiors. You could have one for the first seven Doctors with modular pieces to account for the design differences, one for the eighth, one for the War Doctor through the Tenth, and the Eleventh.

Otherwise I could see them doing a series of 5 or so sets like the Scooby-Doo wave, along with a blindpack minifgure series.

My Best buy has had Fun Packs for $7 for a while now. I'm going to start buying extra cybermen. Once I sell the bases, it will come out to $5. Not a bad price for a Cyberman and a Dalek.

:sceptic: Many times I wonder how and why their aint any great deals like those in Denmark. We are lucky if we see 25% off ... A funpack here costs what´s equal to around 20-25$.

Whenever we come across a "great" deal like 50%, Its due to the fact that a theme is about to "die" or is getting older than a year.

I know that LEGO costs about 50% more here in DK , but even that doesn't justify those great deals you can get "over there".

I envy you a lot. I would love to get an whole army of cybermen also !

I was on the internet and stumbled upon this:

The perfect Dalek Design! So, I tried my hand on reverse engineering and modifying his design (ignore the bad photo quality):

I really just modified the back and front a bit. It is only a few 1/3 elements smaller than the others, but I think it looks better than the LEGO deigns. Again, all credit to Thorsten Bonsch. Now all I need to do is get my hands on a few Cyberman fun packs...

Yeah, Thorsten Bonsch is really great when it comes to Mocs and that Dalek is no exception. Standouts are his Tardis' interiors and Arkham Asylum (I'm still looking for 10937)!

Indeed it is. Thorsten is the master.

You don't need the stud though, you can place the lever in the space between the round 2x2 plate's studs and insert a 1x or 1x4 bar

to hold the dish.

I bought the LEGO ideas set and redesigned the Daleks. I think mine looks better than LEGO's but still doesn't quite come off as perfect (though I do not think it is possible to build a perfect Dalek with existing bricks).

I'm doubting we're getting more Doctor Who. But I understand I guess. I'm interested in the whole past. I want the other Doctors. I really dislike the current Doctor Who, and that's the ones all the kids are into right now. I'm doubting Doctor Who has enough selling power outside of the UK.

Sometimes Lego themes just don't sell well enough to continue making sets. Even big names like the Simpsons or Scooby Doo haven't done as well as expected (so I hear), so the fact that we got ANY sets about a British sci-fi TV show is welcome in my book. Of course, I'd love more sets with the rest of the Doctors, his notable companions and some key aliens would have been awesome... even just as Dimensions packs, but sadly I just can't see millions of Lego fans around the world getting excited about a Jon Pertwee or a Colin Baker minifig, for example.

It's been revealed in a trailer (so I don't think this counts as a spoiler) that there will be Daleks (at least a cameo) in The Lego Batman Movie, so maybe there will be more interest in the future. Even a few more Dimensions sets would be perfect; they've brought back the Harry Potter theme this way, so anything's possible. I'd love a Tenth Doctor / Rose Tyler character pack, or maybe the Fourth Doctor and Davros, something like that. If the Lego Batman Movie results in more sales of the Doctor Who Dimensions sets, I'd bet on further sets in Dimensions 3.0.

Doctor Who has though. The LEGO Ideas set was a huge success and sold out on the online LEGO Store straight away. Similarly many struggled to buy the LEGO Dimensions Doctor Who Level Pack when it was released because it proved extremely popular. I'm not sure about the Cyberman Fun Pack, although I'd imagine given that how frequently the Doctor is used to promote LEGO Dimensions that the Doctor Who stuff as a whole must be considered a popular option for the game.

LEGO would be stupid to not release a Missy/The Master LEGO Dimensions Team Pack at the very least, if not a LEGO Doctor Who videogame. Also: just because there's no more LEGO Doctor Who sets as of current doesn't mean there won't be any announced. LEGO only acquired the license in 2015 - and one set (the Cyberman Fun Pack) was released in 2016. There could be an unannounced set - be it Dimensions or regular range - yet to come for 2017.
