I found the set you're talking about on ToysRUs' website in fact. Kind of strange, it includes some weird paper chicken hutch and a Chicken Suit Guy. Check it out:

Thanks! It's a bit strange indeed. I prefer plastic than paper. However, it's nice to see rare minifigure comeback.

This would be a good figure!

Yeah, some modification of series 9 chicken would be nice.

Moved this from the topic I made which didn't show up in any search I did before making that topic:

Can anyone here shed some light on this for me. It seems like Lego is re-releasing Chicken Suit Guy from CMF Series 9 for Easter. UK/EU Lego stores seem to have a promo where if you spend £15 you get the Chicken Suit Guy for free.

Lego Store Calendar for UK/EU:

No Chicken Suit Guy on Lego Store US Calendar:

This Toys R Us promo seems to indicate that they will be offering him for $5.99:

Can anyone tell me the legitimacy of this?

This is cool, I recently bought Chicken suit guy, but now I can get another...

I wonder if his choice for rerelease was motivated by the fact it would be harder to get a screw in the top of his head, meaning he can't easily be remade into a key chain (not sure if that is a fact?), like other popular characters, i.e. bumble bee girl or hotdog guy... Just wondering because bunny suit guy would have also made a good easter choice.

Your not saying that this will be a keychain right? I really hope not.

No I meant he probably can't be made into a key chain so if they wanted to reuse the mould then re-releasing him makes sense over other minifigures which can be made into a keychain.

What the heck is this?

Using Google Translate, all I can decipher is this:

Top Quote: Take me with you

Bottom: Join us and be creative

Quote from site:

"Soon!

The LEGO® Easter Creative station

Easter is almost here - and also the LEGO® Easter Creative Station . From 29.02 . there is here fun games , activities and prizes to win ."

Grammar might not be right.

Chicken suit guys went on sale on TRU's website today. Sold out in 30 minutes or so. There were in my cart, then...poof. OoS.

Yup. I got the email at 9, didn't see it was on sale till like 10am. Already sold out. Kinda mad. Makes me think they had like a left over stock they are just trying to get rid off essentially. Perhaps when Lego does their promotion in the UK, TRU will get more of him and some of us will at least get 1. Also, not giving me a date when it would go on sale is very annoying, unless I missed it.

I think we're paying an extra $1 to $2 for the packaging.

... Which is really well done I think but it is also a one off kind of thing and not very reusable.

I already have the figure but I still kind of want another one.

It's possible. Also could just be cause they can given the rarity of the figure but your guess is likely correct because who doesn't like a cardboard coop?

I bought it just due to the prices of the figure. I'm not gonna score a deal like this on a minifigure again anytime soon.

I ordered one too since I don't have the fig. Love that it's available for a reasonable price compared to the aftermarket prices of the collectibles. Hopefully they do more in the future.

Hope they don't or it makes ours less valuable.

Two new polybags are going to be released this year under the category Miscellaneous. This seems like the thread for that imo:

40228 Geoffrey the Giraffe. (Remake or re-release I am not sure)

40220 London Bus (To go along the Big Ben Creator set that is supposedly coming out this year I guess)

Also, 3 pictures of new Monthly Model Builds ---

First is a bee (shown on the April store calendar)

Second is a hedgehog (I'd assume it is for May)

Third is a seaplane (I'd assume it is for the summer month of June)

Here is a previous Geoffrey set:

Geoffrey the Giraffe 40077: http://brickset.com/article/7265

Could be similar or perhaps a microscale version of Geoffrey.

For the London Bus I'm expecting something like this:
