CM4Sci Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 (edited) This would be a good figure! Credit to PromoBricks EDIT: Never mind, this is the set. Edited February 21, 2016 by CM4Sci Quote
parsom Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 I found the set you're talking about on ToysRUs' website in fact. Kind of strange, it includes some weird paper chicken hutch and a Chicken Suit Guy. Check it out: https://www.toysrus....U=27795&irgwc=1 Thanks! It's a bit strange indeed. I prefer plastic than paper. However, it's nice to see rare minifigure comeback. This would be a good figure! Credit to PromoBricks Yeah, some modification of series 9 chicken would be nice. Quote

Tech Artist Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 Moved this from the topic I made which didn't show up in any search I did before making that topic: Can anyone here shed some light on this for me. It seems like Lego is re-releasing Chicken Suit Guy from CMF Series 9 for Easter. UK/EU Lego stores seem to have a promo where if you spend £15 you get the Chicken Suit Guy for free. Lego Store Calendar for UK/EU: http://cache.lego.co...wsletter_uk.pdf No Chicken Suit Guy on Lego Store US Calendar: http://www.thebrickf...motions-events/ This Toys R Us promo seems to indicate that they will be offering him for $5.99: http://www.toysrus.c...rentPage=family Can anyone tell me the legitimacy of this? BrickOn Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 (edited) This is cool, I recently bought Chicken suit guy, but now I can get another... I wonder if his choice for rerelease was motivated by the fact it would be harder to get a screw in the top of his head, meaning he can't easily be remade into a key chain (not sure if that is a fact?), like other popular characters, i.e. bumble bee girl or hotdog guy... Just wondering because bunny suit guy would have also made a good easter choice. Edited February 22, 2016 by BrickOn Quote

BrickOn Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 (edited) No I meant he probably can't be made into a key chain so if they wanted to reuse the mould then re-releasing him makes sense over other minifigures which can be made into a keychain. Edited February 22, 2016 by BrickOn Quote
Actor Builder Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 That's weird... Did LEGO base a set off the Chicken Boxes from the Eurobricks raffle? I say yes. They did. Quote
DarrellBricker Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 I don't care why, I just want a chance at getting him! :) For a reasonable price, that is. Quote

rob-ot5000 Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Chicken suit guys went on sale on TRU's website today. Sold out in 30 minutes or so. There were in my cart, then...poof. OoS. Quote

Yup. I got the email at 9, didn't see it was on sale till like 10am. Already sold out. Kinda mad. Makes me think they had like a left over stock they are just trying to get rid off essentially. Perhaps when Lego does their promotion in the UK, TRU will get more of him and some of us will at least get 1. Also, not giving me a date when it would go on sale is very annoying, unless I missed it. Edited February 27, 2016 by Tech Artist Quote
DD840 Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 So frustrating! Anyone know if they will be available in Canada? Quote
Robert8 Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Well.... we knew this would happen Source Quote
Tech Artist Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 THEY ARE BACK IN STOCK AT TOYS R' US IF YOU ARE IN THE US: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=90236376 Just ordered 2 and got 2 more random bags of Series 15 just to push the order over $20 since I was so close anyhow. Probably should have got a set but I don't want to pay TRU's higher prices anyhow. Quote
Legocity2713 Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 I think we're paying an extra $1 to $2 for the packaging. ... Which is really well done I think but it is also a one off kind of thing and not very reusable. I already have the figure but I still kind of want another one. Quote

Also could just be cause they can given the rarity of the figure but your guess is likely correct because who doesn't like a cardboard coop? I bought it just due to the prices of the figure. I'm not gonna score a deal like this on a minifigure again anytime soon. Edited February 27, 2016 by Tech Artist Quote
BlockLogo Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 I ordered one too since I don't have the fig. Love that it's available for a reasonable price compared to the aftermarket prices of the collectibles. Hopefully they do more in the future. Quote
Tech Artist Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Given that above image of Bunny Suit Guy, does anyone think the same thing will happen with him like Chicken Suit Guy(also goes for the same high prices)? Quote

Legocity2713 Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 (edited) Two new polybags are going to be released this year under the category Miscellaneous. This seems like the thread for that imo: 40228 Geoffrey the Giraffe. (Remake or re-release I am not sure) 40220 London Bus (To go along the Big Ben Creator set that is supposedly coming out this year I guess) Credit to Brickset: (No pictures just names) --- http://brickset.com/...rey-the-Giraffe http://brickset.com/...20-1/London-Bus Also, 3 pictures of new Monthly Model Builds --- First is a bee (shown on the April store calendar) Second is a hedgehog (I'd assume it is for May) Third is a seaplane (I'd assume it is for the summer month of June) Credit to Brickset: Pictures are linked. http://brickset.com/sets/40211-1/Bee http://brickset.com/...0212-1/Hedgehog http://brickset.com/...0213-1/Seaplane Edited February 28, 2016 by Legocity2713 Quote
