Vorkosigan Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 The barista hair is new in that color and that dark orange female hair seems to be new altogether. The green and pink torsos will probably appear in other 2016 sets, but i think are debuting here. I may be wrong on the pink one. The dark orange hair is a recolor of Black Widow's hair. The green torso appeared in 2015 (for example the city beach buggy and truck) Quote
8BrickMario Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Not even, it's the exact same color as Black Widow's. Quote
Vorkosigan Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Sorry for some reason I thought her hair was darker. Quote
Lego Conductor Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 This Brick Bank looks to be a perfect fit with the Detective Office. I was hoping for a perfect fit with the Fire Brigade if you get my drift. Still going to get it but for first time plan to modified right out of the gate. Not sure if I like the direction the Modulars have taken lately. Quote
LegoSjaak Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Well, i'm counting the days until i can order a few sets.... normally i buy two sets of each...so i should better stuck to that..but it is attractive to buy even one more....but i might replace a third set by a large bricklinkorder to make one big XL Brick Bank..... Sven F Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Sorry, I don't follow superheroes, even though I pay attention to hairpieces, that black widow seems to have slipped. No new minifig parts then. Quote
Emmi Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 This is a must buy for me - no stickers, all printed pieces, it looks superb from the outside AND inside of course - makes for a great display set! The designer did a great job, I believe it's Jamie, he just makes the best Creator Expert models! Quote
jaesroe Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 still no designer's video yet? Along with 75827 GBHQ this brick bank was two most expected sets of next year. After seeing the all interior pics of GBHQ, the brick banks looks more sophisticated and attractive than first unveiling in mid Oct. Quote

After seeing the all interior pics of GBHQ, the brick banks looks more sophisticated and attractive than first unveiling in mid Oct. I agree, although I fell in love with the Brick Bank the very first moment I saw pictures of it. I was excited for the GBHQ from its description but I immediately lost interest in it after seeing the interior pictures - a huge letdown for me. Quote
AFOLguy1970 Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 If I had $350 and had a choice of Ghostbusters HQ or buying two Brick Banks to make a bigger one, I would definitely go with the bank. The Ghostbusters HQ is nice, but I feel like I am getting more value AND more substance with 2 banks. Quote
BrickFit26 Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 I hope we see the designer video before the end of November, before Thanksgiving would be better. Quote
o0ger Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 I've tried to read through every post, but I couldn't find anyone mentioning this: New SNOT-brick 2016? by o0ger, on Flickr Quote
notaromantic Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 (edited) ^ You know, you may be on to something. I adored the clock as soon as I saw it, and then, settling with a design in my mind, that built around (4) 47905's - Brick, Modified 1 x 1 with Studs on 2 Sides - I realized that it would not work, because the nature of the snot bricks, when used for tiling with tiles, leaves that space between what is height and what is width in LEGO (That same little space that constitutes the bottom bar of a headlight brick... ); i.e the round clock tile, 2x2 in width, will of course not align with stacked snots, 2x2 in height. If this is a new piece, as you suggest, then: It wouldn't exactly be 2 high would it? - As placing two tiles in this manner above one another, assuming that the gold-bar tiles are the same width as normal tiles, would equal to something less than 2 high.... And: Making this part in black would be a way to make the clock as well - (2) bumped next to one another, yet inverted. But as I mentioned in another thread, it was a long and taxing day, so perhaps I am missing something obvious and this post makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.... * But, any other suggestions as to how to build the pit of the clock? After my initial design failed, I have yet to return to it. Edited November 17, 2015 by notaromantic Quote
BlockLogo Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Do new bricks ever get introduced in a modular set? I don't think so but could be wrong. Quote
Rick Posted November 17, 2015 Author Posted November 17, 2015 I wrote a post about a possible new SNOT brick on the Dutch LowLUG forum. I thought I also made similar remarks here, but it seems I didn't. I also came to the conclusion that it must be the new element o0ger refered to above. Do new bricks ever get introduced in a modular set? I don't think so but could be wrong. No, but they probably get introduced in other 2016 sets and are therefore available for the new modular building as well. An example from last year's Detective Office were the scissors that were also included in 2015 Elves and Friends sets. Now that I think about it, one exception springs to mind. The mirror element from Detective's Office has not made an appearance in other sets. Quote
8BrickMario Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 The mirror's as much an element as the stickers are, though. It's not a molded ABS piece, it's just dipped carboard. Quote
Lyichir Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 The mirror's as much an element as the stickers are, though. It's not a molded ABS piece, it's just dipped carboard. The mirror isn't cardboard, is it? I had gotten the impression that it was an actual mirror. In any case, it's definitely a new element—and I'm honestly surprised it hasn't been reused. It's sized perfectly to fit in 1x4x6 window frames, and would be much better for themes like Friends than the much less impressive foil stickers they normally use. Quote
jaesroe Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 (edited) Where's the designer video? Yes...now already mid/late Nov....when could we see the designer video????? Edited November 17, 2015 by jaesroe Quote
6ix Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Almost a day without anyone asking about the designer video!! Quote
ReplicaOfLife Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 I'm wondering if they stopped doing them... Quote
LegoSjaak Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 I'm wondering if they stopped doing them... Maybe they stopped with designer videos and replaced them with special designerbooklets....back to the analog era... Quote

Just like some brackets are. But, any other suggestions as to how to build the pit of the clock? After my initial design failed, I have yet to return to it. Hmm, I have not seen anything special about the clock. I'll have a look. Edit: The clock is built like this: https://dl.dropboxus..._Bank_Clock.lxf Edited November 18, 2015 by o0ger Quote
o0ger Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 (edited) Here are some other stuff I found: This looks like a 1x2 brick. 5 plates tall: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3948340/swebrick/newsnotbrick4.png And here you can see that the corner seems to be built by both 1x2 and 1x1 snotbricks. Both 5 plates tall: Convinced? :) Edited November 18, 2015 by o0ger Quote
