Captain K. Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 HMS Cannonball 38d Hello, my new not yet finished ships! First: the HMS Cannonball, a eight cannons a Brigg of War. Pictures of Brickshelf Second: The HMS Leopard, a fourth-rate ship with 52 cannons. Pictures of Brickshelf I converted my ship the HMS Sirius to HMS Leopard. But are said like both ships still in build. Capt. K. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 30, 2007 Governor Posted September 30, 2007 Someone has been rather busy! And I should be busy working on this project actually... Quote
Joey Lock Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 (edited) I love your ships but the best is HMS Leopard (HMS Sirius) 8-o Its brilliant Thats a dream ship to me *sweet* Add one more gun deck and it would look a bit like the HMS Victory Edited September 30, 2007 by Joey Lock Quote
El Bucanero Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 (edited) You are a very good ship builder captain K. The HMS Cannonball is a nice brig, very well detailed for this relative small ship. The HMS Leopard..... wow... very nice! I'd feel very safe if I were a passenger on that ship! *y* But it seems a big bit for the prefab lego hulls. Something just gives me the feeling the lowest yellow stripe is made out of tiles, meaning the top can be taken of the hull, but I'm not sure, could you confirm that please? If so, I think you could take it of and make a nice brick built hull for it! *sweet* Perhaps that would look nicer. I also like it better than the Sirius, that's probably because of the more realistic colour scheme. Good luck on the process! Edited September 30, 2007 by Mr Tiber Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Very nice- you've pulled of a masterpiece with the HMS Leopard. Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Very nice ships captain K! I sure wouldn't wanna battle with the leopard :-$ Quote
Asuka Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 A very neat work! :'-) Your HMS Cannonball Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted October 9, 2007 Governor Posted October 9, 2007 Anymore feedback for Captain. K's ships - anyone? Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 Anymore feedback for Captain. K's ships - anyone? Well, if the cannonball is to be a brig, i would bring down the stern a little. Most brigs had flushed decks, i believe? Are there any pictures of the progress captain K? Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted October 9, 2007 Governor Posted October 9, 2007 It appears Captain. K has gone away and it might be some time before he gives us an update. I suppose we could always PM him if we're really curious. Quote

Capn Frank Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 (edited) Hello, the HMS Cannonball is now finished. ... Yippie! Another Ship to add to the Index of MOC Ships I like that you've used small moc cannons instead of the regular cannons on a small ship *y* These cannons are really similar to other cannons in the Cannon Index. since it's a little different i added it. X-D The only thing i can think of to improve is to have more space between gun ports (or less gun ports) Other than that, Good work :-) P Edited October 9, 2007 by phred Quote
Captain K. Posted October 9, 2007 Author Posted October 9, 2007 Hello Captain green hair had said: <Well, if the cannonball is to be a brig, i would bring down the stern a little. Most brigs had flushed decks, i believe?> Capt. green hair was right, the deck of a brigg is flat. I regarded pictures in the InterNet in addition. I changed the stern of the HMS Cannonball again. What thinks it? Looks nevertheless better, or? Capt. K. Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 (edited) It looks way better! *y* You can also try to put the hatches for the guns on top, in stead of below. Or isn't that possible? Edited October 10, 2007 by Bonaparte Quote

Captain K. Posted October 10, 2007 Author Posted October 10, 2007 Next I will completely build the HMS Leopard. Later I build still another frigate much. See times! Capt. K. Quote
El Bucanero Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 (edited) The new colours look cool, but I think it would look even better if you would replace the brown log pieces with yellow bricks, and make the currently yellow stripe black, so it would match completely with the HMS Leopard. Just an idea.. The Leopards bow looks wonderfully detailed! Do you have a close up picture of the stern? Edited October 12, 2007 by Mr Tiber Quote
Col. Whipstick Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Wow Capt. K! The design of the mini cannons blew me away (no pun intended) to see the Cannonball next to the Leopard shows just how huge the later ship is. I'm guessing it was hard for that thing to find a parking space in the shipyards at Portsmouth. :-) Are you going to have to destroy the ships for pieces? Seems a tragedy if that's the case. *sad* Quote
