Governor Mister Phes Posted October 4, 2007 Governor Posted October 4, 2007 so little time. i wish i could design sets as a full time job The LEGO Group would never employ you... Your sets are far too good compared to what they design these days... Quote
Siegfried Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 That is really beautiful... *wub* and very impressive considering your self imposed part limitation. The mini-figs are great too. I love the ladys room. Shame there is no pieces left for a bed! :-D The functionality is really cool (and smart) too and it is so well photographed *sweet* This is such a great MOC I'm running out of smilies! 8-| Yes, I think this is much better than the old one! It looks too much like a facade to me. I am stunned though that the pieces count is similar. Quote
Brick Miner Posted October 4, 2007 Author Posted October 4, 2007 The LEGO Group would never employ you... Your sets are far too good compared to what they design these days...thanks phes... your probably right :-D I am stunned though that the pieces count is similar.thanks sinner, ya the piece counts are very similar, in fact i was able to get more out of less with the new one !!! the reason i was able to drop 9 pieces is because of the large 1x5x6 log panel walls and 1x4x5 windows, where as in the old one, i built up the front and sides with 1x2 log bricks. those log bricks add up quickly !!! also i took of the hinged roof of the first floor - though, this was done to be able to build on the second floor, not to reduce my piece count.and, because i decided to build on the second floor, i had to make it smaller so that a single 6x16 black plate could function as the floor of the second level. so, the building is actually 4 studs narrower, and that helped reduce the piece count of the table/chair/mechanism. all-in-all i was glad i felt there was enough piece left that i could add some details, like the perfume bottles. - BM Quote

Captain Green Hair Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 (edited) Very nice saloon Brickminer, its impoved X10 from the original version, i love the wooden walls and the windows *wub* I'd love to see the entire set up, a ghost town..? Edited October 7, 2007 by Captain green hair Quote
Brick Miner Posted October 8, 2007 Author Posted October 8, 2007 I'd love to see the entire set up, a ghost town..?yes, in my entire setup i have a ghost town on the outskirts of the train's path, past the calvary fort. i have a few MOCs that i want to publish individually before i take photos of the whole scene (like a post office, and a redesign of my stagecoach). i'd like to say that is in the near future, but im pretty slow. so, don't look for that anytime soon :-D thanks - BM Quote
