not quite what I was expecting. It's not support for lego, it's using lego to support electronics breadboarding. Still, an interesting use of it.

I don't know, 30 euro seems a lot. You can get various sized breadboards from China through eBay and many of them come with doublesided foam tape. It's possible to stick them on 6x16 plates or 6x8 plates, etc. and then lay them out on a 32x32 or 48x48 baseplate. You can also use hot glue or epoxy if you're daring. Free shipping from China can take up to a month. You probably still can get going faster sourcing components yourself than waiting for the Kickstarter to fund.

I supported, my kids will really be into this, and the examples he gave of his kids needing more stimulation in electronics was right on the mark.

brebo is a new way to build electronic circuits - essentially very small breadboards (connectors for electronic components) with perforated plastic undersides that lock onto Lego. This allows you to place one component per block and to lay out the blocks following the arrangement of a circuit diagram on a Lego base. Alternatively, you can integrate electronics (light, sound, movement...) into a Lego model using recycled or very low cost components.

This appears really slick, and maybe useful as well. A breadboard system compatible with LEGO. I don't do this anymore, but maybe some engineers or technicians or LEGO hobbies the would find it useful. If I still built electronic circuits, I would back this.

This IS intended as a way to develop electronics using lego as a base platform, and not vice versa! When one develops and markets a new product it can be difficult to know if you've got the message across; It makes me happy to say you got it!

I wanted to sell kits much cheaper than this because that is what I would buy, and that is the long term plan. If you want to make it yourself, I salute you! However, there are some obstacles - the highly useful tiny breadboards (not the 17x10 ones) have difficult protrusions on their underbellies, the plates you refer to are actually pretty expensive and also many people (though not you and me) like to have stuff done for them. Please don't buy it - make it instead!
