brickbuilder711 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 (edited) Finally added to my home railroad's fleet with the completion of two FEC ES44C4 locomotives. These are GE locomotives in the Evolution series with 4 working axles out of 6 (even though I only did 4 so I can run them) and they look stunning in real life. Once decals are done, these will be numbered #808 and #822. Enjoy! Edited October 17, 2015 by brickbuilder711 Quote
Imanol BB Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Hi, those locomotives seem very good and powerful, the details are amazing, nice work. Quote
JopieK Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Very nice work brickbuilder711! I love US-syle trains :) Quote
zephyr1934 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Oh wow, they look great. FEC has one of the best liveries of the active class I's and you've captured it wonderfully in your great build. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 I have to build a similar locomotive with the old livery of Santa Fe. Very inspiring! Quote

I agree, These engines are on almost every train with the FEC and I never get bored of them, the livery is that aesthetically pleasing. Though, the FEC is a Class 1 in a Class 2's body ;). I have to build a similar locomotive with the old livery of Santa Fe. Very inspiring! Hi, those locomotives seem very good and powerful, the details are amazing, nice work. legoman666 Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Like the color scheme. Looks like you drew a lot of inspiration from Swoofty. Quote
brickbuilder711 Posted June 17, 2016 Author Posted June 17, 2016 The engines have undergone a ton of changes! Here's a glimpse at what they look like now. Video coming soon! Quote

What are the ton of changes have you made? I'm trying to play spot the differences but before and after pics are of different sides of the engines. Quote

The engine now sits 1 plate lower and has a whole new rear radiator. I actually made one more change to the long hood since photo was taken, but it isn't really worth noting. I am really trying to get a grip on my new video editing program to put out the video of it explaining the meat of the changes, but the software is giving me trouble! dr_spock Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Cool. You use a power pack car like the prototype FEC railroad uses a LNG fuel car -> http://www.railpictures.net/photo/580557/ Quote
brickbuilder711 Posted September 5, 2016 Author Posted September 5, 2016 (edited) ^Thanks! Yes it is being considered. The locos received slight mods over time and now have some of the needed decals. GCRM ops. EDIT: I forgot that I actually already updated the thread to say they were decalled! OOPS! Edited September 5, 2016 by brickbuilder711 Quote
