nielsv Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Wow, just wow! As a fun fact: this wall was the inspiration for George RR Martin's version of his wall in 'A song of ice and fire'. Quote
baard Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Wow! I like the landscaping and details of the different buildings. Great collaboration! Quote
FactorXa Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Lego should finance a project to allow creations like yours to travel around the world to amaze, educate and inspire people ... I am just sad I can not see it live...Breath taking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
Feuer Zug Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Absolutely fantastic. The size, the details, everything is amazing! Quote

LEGO Guy Bri Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 A truly fantastic collaboration. You and your team built a wonderful layout. Glad I was able to see it Quote
Godtshep Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Amazing model- the use of both dark and normal green adds a lot of texture. Quote
Wolvarie Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Well done Brick to the Past team. You have many fans down under with this masterpiece. For me personally it is a life dream to make something like this in the Roman world. Straight out of a Peter Connolly book great stuff. Just another reason for LEGO to make a Roman Empire theme... Jreacher Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 I love massive builds like these! Everything is perfect, the walls, gates, buildings, roofs, minifigs, animals, farms, landscape! WOW. Quote
Wout Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 This looks so amazing. Pity there are no official Roman empire sets. Quote

Macsen Wledig Posted October 23, 2015 Author Posted October 23, 2015 Thanks very much for the kind comments everyone. We've been really pleased with the reaction to the model. We've had articles written about it on Kotaku, the Smithsonian Magazine and Blocks. It's been an increadible few days! If you want to see it, we'll be putting it on display at Brick 2015 at Excel in London in mid December: www.brickshowslive.com Quote
LegoEomer Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Wow. That is a lot of Lego bricks. Love the detail. Quote
Staslegomaster Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 I agree with ALL the above comments. You were building your great set as long as it took the Romans to build the Hadrian's Wall!!! Quote
Familyrosman Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Congratulations! A Really beautiful diorama. Quote
Gary The Procrastinator Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Truly magnificent work for all you guys at Bricks to The Past. One of my favorite collab builds of all time. Keep up the awesome history-based builds, guys!  Quote
Cammander Bly Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 i know right, how long did this take, seriously? Quote
Staslegomaster Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 I quite agree it's a work of art in LEGO architecture and it took your team almost as much time as the Romans needed to build Hadrian' wall. But DO YOU HAVE an access to a LEGO warhouse, I wonder?!!! It's not LDD. It's worth being kept in a LEGOLAND or a musiam. But how can you transport it? Wishinh you success in London (or Windsor?)
