SirNadroj Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 I like it, but VELUX windows would persuade me more to buy it! http://brickset.com/detail.aspx?Set=1854-1 Quote
blueandwhite Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Looks fun. The Creator line has been one of my favorites in recent years, and it looks like it will continue this trend. Nice set (love the BBQ). Quote
alex54 Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Nice house! It's great to habe a new architecture for the new house! And a new colorscheme! A touch of diversity is always welcome, and more when the price is good! BBQ and accessories *y* But roofwindows *n* Velux will be better I think... However, it's a really nice set that I will buy Quote

However, it's a really nice set that I will buy ___________ It is nice to get a new colourscheme, I was afraid we would end up with red and white again! I don't mind the roof windows, I think they did a good job of making them slanted. One of my favourite things, I don't know if it has been mentioned yet, are the stairs leading to the second floor! *sweet* Its great to have an inside instead of just a hollow shell. Now all I need is roadplates and HEY PRESTO! We have a beautiful little neighborhood. I don't really understand how people say that they won't get this because they only collect city, It fits right into city and is minifig scale. TTFN! >:-) Quote
phoinix Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 this is so amazing! i love it its less blocky than building bonanza and it has interesting techincs and parts. great set great price one more "to get" set on my list!! well done lego! (i wonder who the designer is) Quote

Lt. Col. Thok Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Wow, Lego should release a neighbourhood package of all the Creator houses. Thanks, Vader! Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Ooohh, shiny. The other Creator houses didn't really inspire me but this one really is very good. And for less than Quote
legobear Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 The design is flawless and it fits modern times (GREEN is the word) because it uses natural lighting schemes instead of white fluorescent lighting on the slanted roof. From an artistic standpoint, it's just beautiful :-P . I am a city fan, and I love how this is going to fit in my collection. The BBQ grill: I don't see why it's so amazing to everyone, we can build one with our own pieces (most of us). But I guess you guys meant that it's great they added it on. Tree + Mailbox: Since this is a creator set, I think the mindset from the designer's standpoint is to make it as "buildable" as possible, thus you have to make your own tree and mailbox, instead of simply using already existing plastic molds. This set I think is going to be one of those sets that people will look back upon and ask, "why didn't I get that?" Or "why wasn't I born then?" Moving forward as a society, more houses are probably going to look just as environmentally friendly. Shoot, I wish I could live in a place like that :'-( Last word(s): Go LEGO! !~ :-D Quote
john cleese Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 (edited) the best creator house yet. I really like the skylight windows, even if there is already piece for that. The BBQ, the mail box and the satellite dish certainly add to the destail and level of thought put into this set. I dont have any of those windows and they sould proove to be useful in a future moc. TLG is certainly going in the right direction with these new set designs. / Edited October 4, 2007 by john cleese Quote
Darth_Legois Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 But how much is 30 euro in AUD? Sounds reasonably priced. Its like $40-$50 i think which is A BARGAIN HERE!!!!!!!! *y* *wub* 8- Quote

MatthewUSA Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Thank you *vader* for the pic. I totally *wub* the look of this new house. I especially *wub* the detail TLC added to the backyard. VERY, VERY AWESOME!! Quote
hollisbrick Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 This is a great looking set! 2008 is getting better and better. Quote
Shadows Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Utterly brilliant for the price! If they would return to real flowers instead of studs, the circle would be complete. It reminds me of the classic 80's catalog where you were touring the countryside and all of the houses were lit with those wired bricks I've never had. I used to just sit and stare at those... They're determined to make me thoroughly happy, while bankrupting me at the same time. *wub* Quote
Cabby Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Thanks for the pics, *vader*. Another must-have set for next year. :-$ I really like the modern feel to it. Very nicely designed! Just misses some minifigs to be about perfect. Creator is definately heading the right way! *y* Quote
lucajuventino Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Really a very nice set. Note the new 1x2x2 white windows (the ones with clipping glass instead the old one glued) and the new 1x4x6 doors with frames (a black one similar to the old 1x4x5 and a trasparent one). I will buy it surely. And it's good the price/dimensions: not just very large houses like the tan one or the old two white building bonanza, but a small one too, someway a modern version of the old 6370/6372. *y* Luca Quote
Holodoc Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Very nice set, indeed! *wub* But I have to agree to Athos: ...I'm not real fond of the yellow. It looks nice in the model (and the architecture is great), but I don't need anymore yellow bricks or black roof pieces for that matter. What I'd like to see is a grey house with a sand green (or better yet) sand blue roof. Oh yes, sand green/sand blue... *pooof - dream bulb busting* But no reason to cry, Creator sets are getting better and better! Go 2008! Quote
Batbrick Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Oh yes, sand green/sand blue... *pooof - dream bulb busting* But no reason to cry, Creator sets are getting better and better! Go 2008! ___________ Well I agree with the sand blue or sand green roof, but seriously, wouldn't the building look ugly if the walls were grey next to those colours? I am happy with yellow, even though I have a lot of it, I just hope the next one has other colours to avoid repitition like the red roof/white walls houses! TTFN! >:-) Quote
Aussietrooper Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 The good thing about these houses is that you can use them as part of LEGO city as well, creating a real city like Melbourne. Quote
Aussietrooper Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 I found this picture of this house with the other three. I found this picture of this house with the other three. Quote
Siegfried Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 Perfect. *wub* This is my number one 2008 set at the moment. I am really short on house parts which makes it hard to build.... houses! :-P :-P :-P *wacko* Thanks for the pictures *vader* . *sweet* Quote
