arc Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Yeah, I'm a little late to the party with LoSS, as many have already done mods, but better late than never I guess. So here it is. I tried to match it up with the skull gang by using some of the new parts while retaining the function, to varied success. It still works with the added reinforcement of an extra rubber band, but the posable legs do make it more difficult to grab something. A size comparison, not quite as tiny anymore. And the abdomen, I like how the gunmetal add ons shape up, and the texture kinda gives a fur vibe like a tarantula. Although how LoSS got ahold of those chains I don't know. I have a couple extra photos on my flickr over here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/105286035@N05/ They're a little bit of a pain to embed because I have to manually put in the code as my phone is my only computer at the time, so you'll have to put out the enormous effort to click the link to see more amateur photography. So that's my take on the spider lord, any comments are appreciated. Quote
Dosenbrot Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 These Bone pieces really help to get LoSS that "big creepy spider" vibe he was kinda missing before, I love it! Quote
DraikNova Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Yeah, this thing is pretty much perfect. It reminds me of this rather adorable drawing by GK733, if only due to that perfect solution for the abdomen. I think it would work best with more armor add-ons on the legs, to make it look like it has spiderfuzz. Also, how are you sure that that chain isn't just what LoSS spins as webbing? Quote
YellowCorvette Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Great revamp. One thing that bothered me about Lord of Skull Spiders is it barely represent the bony looks of a skeleton spider should have. You successfully make LosS looks more bigger and bony like what a skeleton giant spider should look like. Good job! (And I finally be a Knight ranked member, yeah! ) Quote
meowmachine Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 I like this mod. I like the use of the Skull bones. Quote
Alexander The Great Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 A really nice revamp! One of the best that I've seen. Quote
