Some alterations to the 2008 sets with the Mistika half modified to fit the Phantoka tagline somewhat.

Nothing groundbreaking, I swapped the body type of Radiak and Gavla to match their respective Phantoka.

I decided to give the Mistika Makuta some Shadow Matoran as well - in this case, the Rahkshi head was an obvious choice to mimic the Crast.

And a little twist: since I've never liked or bought Gorast, Corroder and Toxic Reapa make a good stand-in to be the green pair of the Makuta.

Comments & criticism are welcome. Folder when public.

Gavla is a Vahki now. OK...

Well, in this sense Radiak had been the 'Vahki' one in the first place - I literally just swapped their builds. The Staff of Suggestion was used to mimic the hook part of Vamprah's weapon.

Chirox looks great. Did you use the grey sockets to replace cracked ones, or did you actually want to use that colour?

It was intentional: I wanted to give the set an accent color to have a more interesting color scheme as well as to have a better cohesion with Kirop/the rest of the team with dual color schemes.

Thank you guys for the comments, much appreciated. :)

Thanks, much appreciated!

As for the Toa of 2008, I wanted to see more elemental colors, so I gave each of them a secondary one besides the grey/silver. As with the Makuta, I tried to modify the Mistika sets to fit the Phantoka tagline to have more group cohesion - Hahli's wings were added to Gali as well as Toa Ignika's Skyboard to Onua. In addition to these changes, I also wanted the Matorans to reflect the elemental affinity of their Toa partners, so they wield the weapons of the Toa Nuva from 2003.

Sarda proved to be a somewhat efficient replacement for a missing red Av-Matoran. The Kanoka also serves as a connecting motif between the two.

The same deal with Idris: imo the Huna and Ruru do bear some resemblance to the adaptive version of Hau and Kaukau, respectively.

The only mask resembling the adaptive Pakari would have been the Turaga Dume version of Kraahkan (which I don't have), so I paired Onua with the Skyboard instead of a Matoran.

Livelier color schemes with Lewa, Kopaka and Pohatu, but nothing new otherwise, basically.

Comments and criticism are still welcome, as always.

Onua and Kopaka look decent, but with the others I don't think the colours work well together. Maybe they'd look better if you omitted silver/grey from the colour scheme, like the glatorian. I guess the main problem is that each toa is a mix of previous toa sets, which creates a disharmonic look.

I left the sets with two elemental colors in addition to the grey/silver intentionally and I also wanted to try uncommon color schemes (dark blue/blue was never used together in a set and dark red/bright light orange was only used in Malum). I definitely see where are you coming from, though and I must admit the legitimacy of your insights. Thanks for the comment!
