December 30, 200717 yr Of course you will!! :-D :-D :-D And I'm sure it'll be brilliant. *sweet* Can't wait to see your classic version of this... I've got some pressure now 8-|, I can't failed :-D
December 30, 200717 yr Man, that is one cool set. The color scheme still is a bit wonky, but the actual design and details are WONDERFUL! That giant zodiac especially is awesome: I love it! *wub* Impulse sets are great too: a cute street sweeper, a civilian set, and an ogre! Mars mission set is eh, but the rest are great! *y* Ugh, no more awesome sets that I want, please... *wacko* :-P
December 31, 200717 yr wow, that coast guard truck is horrible, all i care to say. i didnt notice a pic of the street sweeper everyone is speaking of...where did it go?
December 31, 200717 yr Hmm...that's strange. It seems to have gotten replaced with another picture for some reason... Fortunately I saved both pictures. You can see the Street Cleaner set and the rest of the Impulse sets here: Impulse 2008
December 31, 200717 yr im i the only one who hates the coast guard sets?i find the orange a terrible color for the sets and it screams jack stone to me!! a big step back for the city line this year. Ok, can yousugjest a better color than orange for coast gaurd? That is in fact the color that real coast gaurd vehicles are. I'd also have to disagree about this being a step back. I beilve this is a very big step forward. Nice to get some diversity in the city lineup. Not at all, in fact I'm hating the pictures of the Coast Guard sets so far. The helicopter seemed OK until I'd seen what they'd done with that truck. Now it leads me to believe that the helicopter is just another in a series of sets designed to appeal to kids who like to play with oversized toys.I agree completely - Too large and too <insert that tiresome argument>. Oh and Yoda, it's not just 8-wide, it's got extra wide tyres! It's probably at LEAST 10-wide! I fail to see how these sets are "<insert that tiresome argument>". The new coast gard truck has alot of nice details on it. The only real big junioried piece i see is the new boat hull. But if it floats, then thats not a bad thing. Many kids like to bring toys inot the bath,so in my mind that would be a plus! And as far as the size goes, that just mean that it will be more equipment it will be able to carry. Another plus in my book. This will defenatly be on my list for 08! Edited December 31, 200717 yr by 5150 Lego
December 31, 200717 yr No need to argue about it guys. It's just a matter of differing opinions. I guess the new city impulse set pic was replaced in that user's Brickshelf folder. I had saved it and attached it to the first post in this thread so you can still see it. And if you don't feel like checking the first post, here it is again: images removed at the request of TLC
December 31, 200717 yr The coast guard set looks great, though I can easily pass on it. Orange blue and white all look nicely togeather, no complaints. Nice use of the bubble tires and new fenders on the truck aswell. A new larger floaty raft aswell. No complaints, looks like a nice set, but I can pass, thanks for the pics :-$
December 31, 200717 yr images removed at the request of TLC New Theme? Agents? images removed at the request of TLC Happy New Year and enjoy~ Mods pls kindly removed or moved, if pics has been posted before or its post in wrong topic, thks
December 31, 200717 yr wow, nice find. The boat is not bad, but i dont like the look of the agent set.
December 31, 200717 yr Thanks for the pics, Sim Avenue. OK, now, which set does the lighthouse come in? Boat is very nice. "Agents" looks like a revamped "Alpha Team", just without ice... Merged with the pics topic.
December 31, 200717 yr Thanks for those new pics! The city set looks great, but the agent set looks a bit like Alpha Team 2.0.
December 31, 200717 yr To me this agents theme looks more like racers with minifigs i.e. horrible . Lucky we still have creator and the S@H exclusive, this year is looking worse and worse.
December 31, 200717 yr I love the orange boat, I hope the hull is really deep, one of my old favourite things to do was to design diver boats like the old theme :-$ I might have to get that set for sentimental purposes :-D
December 31, 200717 yr 7743 in 2008 = 52,99 euro.http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Clement/7743/7743a.jpg Oh no its not going to be 52,99 euro! Its going to be 31,99!
December 31, 200717 yr I like the new boat as well. Looks like it will come with its own dock, and a proper lighthouse too! Agents-theme looks skippable. Very likely I might do just that.
December 31, 200717 yr boat and lighthouse both seem pretty good, i do like them but if you compare this with the creator ship then creator is the winner! (is this a boat year for lego?) i wonder how this ship would look in the city harbor.. and it is about time we got a lighthouse. so this is a very nice set compared to the other coast guard over sized stuff agents looks like one of the worse lego themes of all times it is SO BAD :-X :-X melt them and make smth pretty! ;-)
December 31, 200717 yr I'm really loving that Coast Guard theme *wub* Its getting beter and beter with each pic 8-
December 31, 200717 yr agents actually looks good, and could be reallyfun if you have some brickarms. i see lots of black, minifigs, guns, and vehicles.plus, we'll probably get some regular citizens to rescue! jifel
December 31, 200717 yr The agent looks like Alpha team But the truck looks cool Edited December 31, 200717 yr by Hotshot
December 31, 200717 yr Is the lighthouse really part of the set or just background accessory? It would surprise me if it was... or is there another set in the pipeline... 8-|
December 31, 200717 yr Coast Guard sets are amazing....i belive we can expect more...maybe a HQ with ligthouse? It would complete a sreies and maybe a watchtower... go 2008
