Siegfried Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 There are now the instructions of the City summer sets on Lego.de: Wahoo! I love instruction time. Quote
Mirandir Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 I've just been through the instructions of the 7738 life boat (which I found just ) and I noticed those is this a new piece? I wonder if it means the end of the click hinges, since that one and a normal 1x1 with clip has the same result as they use in this set... The piece is new for this year and is available in at least seven sets in theese four colors: white, light bley, dark bley and red. And I think they'll rather complement click hinges than replace them. Since where click-hinges offer strength theese offer poseability. Quote
metalandi Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 The new coast guard sets are now available at Shop @ Home, check it out! http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Leaf.aspx?cn=...HQS=City_Banner Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Thank you very much for that information, metalandi! The price for the "Patrol Boat & TOwer" and the quad is higher than I awaited . The price for the "Rescue Helicopter" and the "4ward with jetski" is lower than I awaited . All in all: I think the prices are quite Ok and the sets themselves are ! And I like it to see that the winch is power functioning, isn't it ?! What I'll buy: 1. surely 2x or 3x the kayak 2. surely 1x or 2x the quad 3. surely 1x the 4ward with jetski 4. would like to buy the patriol boat with tower because it's the best set of all these CG sets - the only thing with disturbs me is that the ship doesn't include a backwall and nearly no interior 5. prehaps the rescue helicopter because it looks very nice and that life raft is great - the only thing with disturbs me here, too, is that the helicopter includes no interior - and it is really big 4 and 5 will depend on how much money I'll get in the next months, how much the 10188 DS will cost (because the DS is an absolutely must which is higher than any other set - I at least think and hope that it'll be that awesome ), if there are any other exclusive OT SW sets this year and which City and OT SW sets there'll be in 2009. Harbor sets on! Klaus-Dieter Quote

metalandi Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Aww, the more i see, the more i want them. That colour scheme just has something about it, love the orange and the little blue bits here and there. can't wait them to arrive! Quote
Scyzoryk Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 (edited) 7738 New Piece Ahoy! (I felt like saying that ) Thats a cool new piece. Its like a weird trans red stub 7739 AND A NEW BASEPLATE Edited May 13, 2008 by Scyzoryk Quote
Dr. Brick Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 AND A NEW BASEPLATE That baseplate was used before in Bionicle sets. These are cool sets, but I think I'll pass most of them. I'd like the platform tough! Dr. Brick Quote
Tijn Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 I think he means the piece for the red signal light / flare, but that is a 1985 or something light&sound light-bulb cap, they are available in red, yellow, blue and green. http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/4773 Quote
metalandi Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 ah, i already thought that. but it could also be he means the bley handle thingy..that isn't new either, it has been used for example in the new police station, and also in the castle siege (black ones here). Quote
Maximono Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 looks like the coastguard kayak is now available to buy on the lego online store for £2.49 Lego store kayak page . Also the new batman set is available too with the hammer big wheel truck. Quote
Asuka Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 I think he means the piece for the red signal light / flare, but that is a 1985 or something light&sound light-bulb cap, they are available in red, yellow, blue and green. http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/4773 Although it reminds a lot of that piece I guess it´s just that new Barraki eye. A nifty little thing indeed! Quote
Chuck Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 All the coastguard sets (sans impulse) are available at US S@H. -Chuck Quote
iamded Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 Although it reminds a lot of that piece I guess it´s just that new Barraki eye. A nifty little thing indeed! That's the piece. I remember getting a few of them way back in the Res-Q sets, only they didn't have the pin in them then. In other news, Mutt's hair piece looks pretty popular. I spotted it in the Ras-headed minifig in the largest Coast Guard set. ~Peace Quote

Clonecommando007 Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 The remaining promo City sets are revealed in the instruction page in lego.com4897 Police Trike 4898 Coastguard Boat 4900 Fire Helicopter 5626 Coastguard Bike (I like it!) These are the best promo sets I've ever seen! Tell me again, where do you find them anyways? Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Tell me again, where do you find them anyways? You go to Lego.com. There you have a link with Customers Service. And in it there is a link with Building Instructions. In it you can find all building instrustions of the last years - and the newest, too. Klaus-Dieter Quote
Darth_Legois Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Just wondering what kind of promo's are they... [sorry if the anwser has been said before] Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Is it me(having not yet looked at the instructions) or does the top promo's minifig, the Police... Dirt Trike(for want of a better word ), have the head of the sky blue knight in Knight's Kingdom? Quote
Svelte Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Wow, whung, those pics are great - thanks! Definitely the biggest and the best of the Coastguard sets. Makes me feel better about not getting the Coastguard tower as it looks sort of similar in this one. And for once a base set that could actually use a helicopter, seeing as it's located in the middle of the ocean . Quote
