jkj1909 Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 I really begin to feel embarrassed by all this praise... Don't, your builds really containts some (for me at least), usefull new techniques, keep sharing. @ zephyr1934: The coupling device is actually very simple, consisting of two hooks and a thin 1x6 Technic liftarm as a link. If a more rigid connection is required, you can add a 1/2 Technic pin: Maybe simple, but very inspirational. Quote
monai Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 .. Just one thing I forgot to mention in my last reply: If you'd like to have larger wheels with lower flanges than LEGO or BBB, could 3D printing be an option? yes it could be, but there are not many 3d printing services still available where I live (a 3d printer is rather expensive), then you have to build up a computer ready numerical project. Perhaps is still faster (I don't know if cheaper) to ask a mechanical shop to turn a metal wheel, at least for full wheels. 3d will be the future (http://www.bigbenbricks.com/track/track.html). Up to now buying a spare wheel from LGB or Marklin should be better. What is amazing is the reality of the ensemble, the Lego track are really too simplicistic and unnatural for such creations. Quote
baard Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Wonderful waggons and full train. Love it, and you have nailed this scale. Nice video! Thanks for sharing! Quote
